Thurston County Title Company

As a local real estate team, Thurston County Title has been our go-​to title company for years. We receive prompt, courteous and professional service. Time after time Thurston County Title has scrambled to close transactions for us, having to make up time as lenders delay the delivery of closing documents.
In a decade we have never had a delay in closing that was the fault of this escrow company. In fact, each week there is probably one «save» that Thurston County Title manages for us, as they are receiving the closing documents at the very last moment from the lenders in most cases. Their title and escrow staff are working six to seven days per week right now to stay on top of their work load. Title staff is always available to answer our title questions and to help our clients understand what they are buying or selling.

Slow as molasses. We had to amend the closing date on our contract at least twice because they are slow to process and communicate with the banks. The buyers needed to move in on time. Been moved in a week now and we have yet to see a penny. Finally closes at 4:00pm, which is too late for them to wire funds. Waiting yet another day for funding.

Frankly, a bunch of unprofessional liars. I caught one agent in a blatant lie. That says enuf about the rest of the staff. her manager tried to cover up for her (darla) the owner is apparently no different. «silence gives consent» failure to respond says your are equally guilty.. may they all rot in hell. Don’t rely on or trust anything they say…

This is the worst escrow and title company I have ever dealt with in the 9 years I have worked in real estate. I was forced to use them because the seller (or probably the seller’s agent) wanted to use them and have had incredibly poor customer service since the beginning. Unfortunately in this transaction, I am the buyer, so am really getting kicked in the teeth, so to speak. I call and no one answers the phone, so I email instead. I wait 5 days for a response of «no.» Seriously, how hard is it to type those 2 letters? I ask for copies of meeting minutes because I want to know if there are any upcoming special assessments. I instead get sent the same CC&Rs that they already provided, and an email address for board members that I am told I need to contact on my own if I want the meeting minutes. By the way, of course there will be a charge for the HOA documents that I have had to request myself. I ask a question on an easement that showed up on the title report. I ask if the title officer can either meet me at the property and help me find the easement as I am concerned that it might be under the garage or worse yet, the actual house, or if she could send me a better picture because the drawing (plat map) they sent was tiny and I can’t tell where the easement is located on the property. She sends a slightly larger version of the same map and tells me she doesn’t know what the property looks like, but if I’m looking at the driveway, the easement is to the right. How does she know where the driveway is if she doesn’t know what the property looks like? Is it divine intuition? Their website says they have a track record of going the extra mile… I wonder if that means going the extra mile in the wrong direction, because this is not what good customer service looks like or feels like.
