This place is such a great hidden local gem. Its super casual a little small but great outdoor seating and they do fun event throughout the week. The parking lot is TINY which is a drawback because it gets crowded. They only take cash but they do have an ATM on site if you forget and the food is great. Good variety and the quality is top notch. I’ve been a few times and it never disappoints.

This is a great neighborhood pub! The wait staff is VERY attentive and always friendly (even during busy times) The guys work really hard to offer great food. Even though the prices are a little high, it’s quality, tasty food! Yes, it’s cash only, but there is an ATM on site. Overall, this establishment deserves 5 stars for it’s awesome food (try the fish and chips!), friendly and attentive wait staff, and neighborhood environment!

Looking forward to our first dining experience at the restaurant we’ve been driving by for the last 5 years. Nice ambience, however our food order took over an hour to arrive. Since people who arrived after us were getting their food order before us we asked our server if our order had been lost. We were assured
It hadn’t and we continued to wait. The server was nice, but ran out of excuses for the kitchen staff after the third inquiry. If you’re dining in the area I would highly recommend going somewhere else. The worst dining experience I’ve had to date. Was generous giving them one star…

If you like extra greasy food, this is your place… Hubby got prime rib sandwich. More like boiled roast beef deli meat in a bun. Won’t go back. Oh yeah service was not great.

Service has been horrible every time I’ve tried this place, to the point we’ve gave it a good faith effort to stick it out and ended up leaving — twice! I’d love to actually try something here but if you can’t even get someone to take your order that’s tricky… They are cash only, which isn’t a problem and they have an ATM inside which is helpful. Just utterly unimpressed with this place which is quite disappointing.

This was my first time to South Bay Pub & Eatery. I ordered the eggs Benedict which were perfectly executed and presented in their simple, yet delicious, state. The side of hashbrowns were dry and over cooked and lacking in flavor. I also had a Bloody Maria with the best presentation I’ve ever seen. I was greatly disappointed to find it lacking in spice and flavor. The mix was clean but had no kick, and I’m not sure what kind of tequila they put in there. It tasted like they hadn’t put any in at all. The service was great though. They only accept cash, but they do have an ATM on site.

I have eaten here three times, once for lunch and twice for dinner. The food is always great and I never have to wait too long. I prefer to eat outside because it feels more like a bar than a pub inside. I would definitely recommend the food and the staff are always really nice.

Waitress very friendly and attentive. Music and regular clientele too loud for my taste. Pulled pork sandwich was just a deli sliced ham, if they didn’t have pulled pork available at that time it would have been nice to be told, would have ordered something else. Cash only, they did have an ATM though. There is the argument that cash only saves on the outrageous cost of credit and debit card processing, cash only also makes it very easy to pay under the table and avoid taxes. Does keep people from spending money they don’t have though.

Ok there weren’t too many choices for brunch in Lacey, but holy cow was I pleasantly surprised. I took my 10 year old son and 21 year old daughter to brunch while we were waiting for a train and YUM! Their Mimosas were perfect. Fresh squeezed OJ on beautiful sparkling. My daughter and I both had Vegi-​Benedict. I’m not vegetarian, but the avocado and fresh tomatoes sounded so good. I was not disappointed. It was exceptional. The potatoes were crispy and perfect. My son’s «short stack» was humongous. He said the bacon tasted like candy. Not only will I be back, but I’m putting it on the calendar. Don’t be afraid of the bar-​dive appearance. The service was amazing and the food tasted outstanding.

South Bay Pub it’s still amazing, great food, great service. We go once a week. Quit crying about «2 stars cuz cash only» they have an atm machine in the front door and are saving a ton of money not paying the credit card company. I’m going to go eat some pulled pork nachos now…

Came here for breakfast with my dad. I’ve been wanting to try it for awhile since I always drove past it on the way top work.
I had the biscuits and gravy which was good, but not my favorites. I also had potatoes on the side that didn’t seem to be cooked long enough.
I’d go back someday to try their other menu items.

Great vibes, service was awesome, background music was perfect level.
My s/​o wanted to head out there to have food cooked by Danny, arrived to a nice greeting from the moment we walked in. 8.00 Steak and Loaded Potato… The staff was prompt, Tim was on top of it.
Couldn’t be happier, cash only is a Meh… but its really not a big deal.
The fact that the food was cooked right, Beer was COLD is what nailed it to me.
Will be going back.

This afternoon, I met my girlfriends for a quick drink. Immediately, the «regulars» to a disliking. The bartenders assured us «they were regulars».
Small businesses like SBP&E need to remember, if their regulars scare off all their new customers, they aren’t going to have much business.
Drinks were great, but they are everywhere else as well!

Good pub food here! Fresh cut fries are superb. Wings are great! Fridays and Saturdays are home style dinners. We had an excellent prime rib on one of our visits. Nice selection of beers, not a huge tap list but a good selection of micros. Lynn says the salad has good lettuce. Romaine and red leaf, not just iceberg. The only drawbacks here is that it is loud, on the small side and cash only. Although they do have an ATM on site so that’s not a big deal. We recommend it:)

Before I give the reason for the two stars I do want to say that our waitress was excellent. She was extremely nice and so was the bartender. All the staff was great.
I gave it two stars because the food just wasn’t impressive at all. It also earned two stars because it’s a cash only establishment. Not sure how they can manage free wi-​fi but not accept credit cards.
Third reason for the two stars was that we showed up at 1:00 pm for lunch and they were still serving breakfast. For some reason they serve breakfast until 2:00 pm on Saturday. I don’t think it was working out well because several groups came in and left while we were there because they wanted lunch, not breakfast.
They have six beers on tap. All fairly decent. I had the Lucille IPA which I’ve never had before and I liked it. If this place would upgrade their ability to accept credit cards and maybe look at being able to serve lunch at a normal time then I would give it more stars.

I had the Cuban sandwich-​it was good. Kid had the French Dip. He said it was good. Husband had the clam chowder and said it was fine-​not spectacular. It seems like a friendly neighborhood joint. The only complaint I had was it was terribly understaffed. One a busy Saturday afternoon there was ONE server. The bar was full, the tables outside were full and the restaurant was busy. She was going as fast as she could. She was very nice and very apologetic. Not her fault-​managements fault.
Remember they only take cash. There is an ATM there for emergencies, though I suspect it charges fees.
