Well too bad. Thought this guy was doing me a solid, rebuilding my transmission over Christmas break. Long story short, we made it 400 miles and it crapped out big time in the mountains of Oregon. Too make matters worse, Mark fought with me about refunding my money, even after next shop sent him detailed photos to prove my case.
Screw this guy, he’s a dirtbag

Great job. We took one of our vehicles to another place in town and got a quote for $ 1500 worth of work on our brakes. No go, I said! So we read some reviews and tried this place for a second opinion. They got us in quickly, told us exactly what we needed to do so we didn’t have to spend an arm and a leg, and we had our car back by noon at a fraction of the cost the first place quoted us. Definitely will go back when we need work again.

When the first thing they ask you after they supposedly look at your car is «what’s your budget?» And you don’t hear back after 2 days after you drop it off, that’s a bad sign.

Olympia Automotive & Transmission is a very professional and reasonable place to get your vehicle worked on, they showed me what was wrong with my car and fixed the problem shortly after, they are also quick with their work, in ending id like to thank these fine gentlemen for supporting us troops. Excellent customer service. Textbook example of a squared away service advisor. I was kept in the loop the entire time my truck was in the shop. I like to do most of my own work but, due to the recent move and being extremely busy at work, I decided to take a shot in the dark and bring my Cummins Diesel here. I had the truck shipped from Alaska and when I picked it up I noticed the underneath was drenched in transmission fluid. After a few short days they had narrowed the issue down to some bad transmission cooler lines. I picked the truck up on a Thursday and completed a 1400 mile trip with a loaded trailer on the back that weekend without any issues. Will definitely be coming back in the future for some of the more time consuming jobs on this truck.

WORTH IT! I recently had my transmission rebuilt by Mark and his team and they did a great job! I feel like I am driving a brand new car! I am a young woman and I figured a mechanic shop would try to rip me off due to my lack of knowledge when it comes to cars. That was the case with the other shops I checked out but as soon as Mark took a test drive in my car and actually took the time to explain everything and give me a quote I was convinced this was the shop to rebuilt my transmission. Very professional, very good work! I will definitely go back if my car has any more troubles.

Hard to find but worth the effort. Took my car in this morning expecting to hear it would cost thousands to fix my transmission. Mark helped me immediately, took the car for a test drive, put it on the lift and showed me what was wrong It only cost me $ 200.00 plus. And the car was fixed in a few hours. I’m very happy with the service and expertise this shop provides. If I went to a national chain the car would be gone for a week with a $ 3000.00 price tag. This shop is honest. I’ll be returning for sure.

i’ve been in the Lacey /​Olympia area since 2006 and have not met a more honest, ethical, and professional auto shop in the area. yeah, i tried others at first because they were closer to home. as long as Mark and his team are here, no one else touches my cars! i like my older vehicles and look forward to improving the quality and performance of them with each visit !

Mark was amazing!
Since my family does a lot of mechanic work themselves I have never used a shop for repair before. But when my brakes went squishy and we were losing stopping power I knew I needed to get it fixed fast.
Our brake cylinder started leaking on the driver’s rear side and when I explained the situation to Mark he was really easy to talk to and very patient getting all the details he needed from me to address the problem.
We only have one car for our household, so he was very accommodating about getting it back up and running ASAP and ordered our parts ahead of time so the job could be finished as soon as possible!
Though he originally estimated 4 hours (to replace both rear cylinders and one set of shoes), he got it done in just one hour and we were back on the road in no time, safe and sound! Price was very reasonable as well!
Will definitely come back here again for my future repairs!

Mark and his co workers were really professional and great Skill. They even let me pick up my car on Saturday night because of my schedule availability.
I would be a regular customer if I live in Olympia. Strongly recommended!!!

Glenn was a money saver. Even though didn’t use shop to fix my car. They diagnosed it, which made me go to previous shop and use my warranty. They found the exact problem while others couldn’t. Even a franchise couldn’t figure it out. These guys did. Next maintenance I going to them!

The owner at Olympia Automotive took very good care of my truck during the rebuild of my transmission. My millage improved allot and it shifts very smooth but firm when towing. Look forward to returning for my maintenance.
