Took guests from Hawaii over since they were craving clams and oysters. Great source and great price! This is their processing plant, so don’t expect a fancy store. That’s fine with me! Be sure to wear shoes that can walk on mud and wet floors. The view from the parking lot would have been great on a sunny day since they are right on the water, but we had rain and low hanging clouds. They were putting down more gravel on their driveway and parking lot the day we went, but they hadn’t done it in front of the entrance to the shucking area yet. Went into the work area past the shucking conveyor belt. The guy who helped us was very nice and helpful. To order he pointed us to the wall where a sign listed prices for clam and oysters. They had various sizes of Pacific oysters, manila clams and geoducks. They sell Kumamoto oysters, too, but didn’t have any in when we were there late afternoon. They took our order, then went into a back room, put our order into plastic bags and put them in a nice box. Asked if we needed ice, too. Love that they are so close to where we live! That night we had a great time eating raw oysters and steamed clams in a garlic butter sauce! Yum!

They are always pleasant and helpful! I had no idea that they were so close to me! They have amazing prices on fresh oysters! Keep in mind this place is where they box up and bottle fresh oyster. It’s not a store front type of seafood place. You just go into their work area past the area with an assembly line type of conveyor belt and into their office section and tell them what you want! Whenever we have Bbqs this is where we go to get our oysters!

I’M INLOVE! I was in town visiting form AZ and we decided to make clams for dinner. My host said we could pick them up form Costco(no), the grocery store(Nope) and my third option was to go to the source at National(HECKYES)! In AZ I have no choice but to buy my shellfish at the store, but here, wow. We made the beautiful drive down to the water and there it unassuming and awesome. As we pulled up the guys were working on the loading docks with massive amounts of oysters. We went in and immediately the smell of fresh shellfish hits you like a cloud of happiness. Right inside the door is where the oysters are shucked, although they were not shucking when we were there. The lady in the office asked what we needed and 5 pounds of clams were delivered to us in hand within minutes. the cost…$ 3.50 a pound! What!!! Needless to say they were some of the best clams I have ever eaten and anytime I am back in town this will be my first stop!
