We have come here twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner and we have been super satisfied! I ordered breakfast, the corn beef hash skillet and my husband ordered the Fried Chicken Bacon Burger, we both really enjoyed our meals. The Corn Beef Hash was perfect; super fresh, hot and tasty! The English muffin and scrambled eggs were super nice with it. When we came in for dinner we ordered the special, which was a braised beef stuffed ravioli, the onion soup which we were both dying to try from the other Unilocal reviews, and the Smashed Meatball Sandwich! Everything was absolutely delicious and amazing! The Smashed Meatball Sandwich had amazing flavor. The ravioli was super tasty, the pasta was made fresh that day, the sauce was perfect… just yum! And that onion soup… just yes! Both times the service was on point and the waitresses were super nice. My husband enjoyed his beer that was recommended and I couldn’t stop raving about the Lavender Mojito! We can’t wait to come back and try more food!

The service was great, but the food was lacking. I had the fish and chips; large pieces of beautifully battered white cod and absolutely no flavor. The chips(french fries) were also lacking. They looked to be real potatoes with the skin on, but the texture wasn’t quite right and they lacked flavor. The atmosphere is friendly and it would be a good place to hang out and have a beer, but don’t bother with the fish and chips. Maybe other items are better.

Unique! Everything they do they think of a new way to do it. They even put down your silverware in a new way. Onion rings were delicious and very skinny, garlic fries yum with non average cheese and my favorite was smashed meatball sandwich. A grilled cheese with awesome meatballs in it. Good selection range of beers too.

Fantastic service, superb beer and wine selection, and great food. Best clam chowder in town, arguably. Their sandwiches and burgers are tasty and they have some creative offerings. Locally sourced food, regional beers, and a relaxed atmosphere make this my go to pub.

We love this place. Been here several times. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Awesome staff and the food is always delicious! Came for breakfast today, Crab cakes, home fries and scrambled eggs for breakfast! What could be better? The crab cakes are huge and full of crab. The potatoes are amazing. Yum, every time!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Food was gross and bland, and drinks were mediocre. Save your money and go somewhere else, seriously better places to go around town… Like anywhere. I saw the chef talking to customers for way too long for how many people were without food, maybe if he spent more time working on his recipes as he did running his mouth I would enjoy it better. My glass was also sat empty while I watched my server Melissa sit down and take her time to eat a sandwich… I’m guessing this place is family owned… And poorly managed if my server is just allowed to eat her food while I’m sitting there waiting for my food and drink. When I came in, no one greeted me… There was no sign saying«seat yourself» finally someone said«find a spot»… This place is a shit show at best. Seriously don’t waste your time.

GOODNEWS: This employee has been terminated! Came here for a birthday party, I don’t live here and was recommended this place by lots of friends and family. Unfortunately the hype wasn’t all there. We had one server for a group of 20 people. I ordered my drink, when it arrived it was the wrong drink. After I finally received the drink, we sat and waited, and waited some more. After about 45 minutes we finally asked the waiter if we could order food. To his response«sure, I’m ready whenever you guys are»… Well we were ready approximently 30 minutes ago… So we order, food showed up, everyone digs in. I ordered the friend chicken bacon burger, it was OK. Little dry but overall we were starving by the time it showed up, that I didn’t care what the food tasted like at that point. Then after the conversations were dying down. The plates were empty, and taken away. It had been at that point over 2 hours. The party was dying down. Oh checks were still not passed out… One of our guests asked if we could get our checks. He goes away, comes back around and asks us all what we ordered… He must have forgotten? Or didn’t write it down… I was shocked. He brings us our check, one at a time mind you… Overall, I am pretty sure this was a new waiter. Word to the wise, next time ask for assistance and make sure to check on your party every 10 to 15 min to make sure everyone is happy. Probably won’t be back unfortunately.

We came here for breakfast since our«usual» place closed. I had the Public House Skillet and my husband had the Corned Beef(real not canned!) skillet. Delicious food, extremely fair prices, good portion size and great service. We will be back!

I wanted to try a new restaurant in town and this one had pretty good reviews so my wife and I stopped in for lunch. There was only one server for the entire restaurant and he was not up to the task. He seemed like he was just some guy that was hanging out there and decided to help customers. As far as the food goes, the onion soup was very salty, the pea soup had no salt, and the scallops on the scallop cob salad were not cooked correctly. Additionally, the price was high for the mediocre quality of the food. There are a lot of great restaurants in Olympia but unfortunately this isn’t one of them.

This is a great place but they don’t seem to realize it. Hard to find(no sign) hardly any parking(maybe 9 spots in front). Food(so far) really good and under-priced. Eg: Breakfast(served all day but they don’t open until 11AM weekdays). Poached eggs with cottage potatoes, tomatoes, bacon, avocado and scallops for $ 9. Service yesterday was exemplary. Hope they make it.

As residents of the Westside we have been hopeful this place would find success. Unfortunately my experience has been the service and the food have not held the original experience of the restaurant. The biggest diasapintment has been the way the bartender has treated us the last two times we dined. Arrogant and treated sarcastically, ignored and made to feel unwelcome. We will spend more time at Iron Rabbit.

Rarely do you find a restaurant where each dish is a delicious treat and the service is kind, funny, and really just a part of your experience. My lovely friends and I had a wonderful dinner, visit, and experience and will will be back for sure.

I came here with my family for breakfast one Friday morning, not sure how busy it would be on a workday. It was decently busy for West Olympia. My mom, distracted by the conversation ordered the wrong meal. When it came, she was surprised as it wasn’t as she expected. She ate it anyway, and was pleasantly surprised by what she ate. Worried that my mom wasn’t truly satisfied, the waitress, Millie, had the kitchen make the meal my mom wanted, free of charge on top of her original meal. Such a kind gesture and wonderful customer service! Our meal was delicious, I would absolutely recommend this place. It has a wonderful ambiance and has the ability to be a wonderful long standing addition to the West Side of Olympia!

We met our daughter for an eye exam near by and decided breakfast after would be a fun chance to catch up on news. For some time, I’ve wanted to try Cooper Point Public House but needed a good excuse– breakfast! They have a very nice breakfast menu. Highlights are the skillet selections. Both spousal unit and daughter has the same choice(it had scallops in it). My wife is quite fussy about her scallops(having grown up the daughter of a commercial fisherman). To her taste, the scallops were under done. Our waitress Millie asked if there was anything wrong with her breakfast. Hearing my wife’s comment, brought her a replacement item, no charge. Looking at past Unilocal comments where service was scored negatively, I think that may have been from the Pub’s start up days. We could not have been happier both with the service and the food selections. Well done, Millie and Cooper Point Public House !!

Solidly good food in a relaxed atmosphere with sincerely kind service. Cooper Point Public House was a bit more casual than I expected however I don’t really know where I got the idea it would be different. I had the Buffalo chicken salad and it tasted delicious but the pieces of carrots in the salad looked like they had dried out and wilted on a counter for hours so that was a little unappealing. Our server was especially nice and thoughtful. She was so kind that I did not even want to complain to her about the sad carrots. We just enjoyed our meal and left. They seemed to have a rather creative menu so I will go back to try some other dishes soon.

So we just wanted a beer and get back on our way. When we walked in the wait staff ignored us. I had to walk up to a waiter who was busy hitting on a patron if we just sat anywhere we liked. Was told to sit anywhere clean and he turned back around. We sat ourselves… Waitress brought us menus and took our drink order of a beer and a Washington Apple. Then explained they made the Washington Apple drink a little different. We agreed but then the wait began. We waited ten minutes and then the waitress returned to take a food order. We order garlic fries. Ten more minutes… Hey I have a beer… And a weird apple martini resembling nothing close to a Washington Apple drink. Garlic fries came shortly after and they were amazing. Earning the two stars in this review. We left pretty promptly feeling disappointed that another possible chance at having a decent pub on the west side was shot out of the sky.

Walked into this place and the waiter walked right past us saying«seat yourself. Whatever’s clever»…this made me already skeptical about the service. We sat down and the waiter came along and was really not friendly to us at all. He seemed to not even be happy to be at work(typical service in Olympia). Food came out. The fish in chips were odd. The fish part was extremely greasy and tasted of stale oil and the inside was undercooked, the fries were limp and soggy, and the cocktail I had was really sad. Definitely won’t be over paying for this place again.

My boyfriend and I come here on the regular. Everyone treats us wonderfully and there isn’t one thing we’ve tried there that we haven’t enjoyed. Some say the service is slow but we don’t come here for fast food, we come here for good food and CPPH takes the time to do it right. Btw, the braised brisket sandwich is AMAZING as well as the house made bbq sauce, so to the lady who said it wasn’t, you’re crazy and obviously don’t know how to branch out from factory food, maybe next time try Applebees?

Love this place! Great choices of beer with a rotating tap. I recommend the mug club for those who frequent the watering hole, which offers various discounts on prices for members only. Take advantage of the occasional specials that Sam(owner/cook) offers up. CPPH has a Facebook as well; which they post their rotating tap choices and specials on.
