At Cakeitecture Bakery we blend the Art of Cake with the Art of Design. We make everything from scratch and our main intention is to WOW you! Maybe you need a sculpted cake, cupcakes or if you want something a little different — Try our Cake Pops. We are the first bakery in Olympia to offer cake pops. They are delicious, beautiful and a fun addition to any party! Having a party for your 3 year old? We can handle that! Getting married? We can make that special as well! Any idea, any flavor, no matter what the theme is, we can create it.

Our Philosophy:

Cakeitecture Bakery is a small operation that looks to do big things — the right way! We take pride in baking from scratch and we only use natural ingredients and try to buy everything locally. Everything is made per order and we like to brag about how delicious and unique our products are. We are unique in that we not only offer a wide variety of shapes and flavors but we also offer sculpted cakes.

History

Carie Tindill, Owner and Head Designer

Growing up the 5th of 6 children in a traditional southern family, Carie Tindill has been cooking and baking her whole life. She uses recipes that are passed from generation to generation and cooks for family meals that are always important, even if it is just a week night. She often jokes that, «In my family, once you were big enough to dress yourself that meant you were big enough to start cooking!»

Carie began her professional career as an Intern Architect and Assistant Project Manager after graduating from Auburn University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Architecture and again in 2006 with a Masters of Construction. As a naturally creative person, design was a good fit for Carie’s personality. However, she felt called to take on new challenges to really satisfy her creative side. Turning to cake one day back in 2008, Carie began experimenting with the tools she used in Architecture School to make building models and put them to use on cake.
