Our landscape services include weekly lawn mowing and trimming, spring & fall clean-​ups, seasonal color displays, fertilization, mulching, horticultural pruning, weeding, aeration, garden maintenance & care, and landscape enhancements. We take great pride in our work and in keeping our entire team up to date on the latest products and techniques in the green industry. Our snow services include clearing parking lots, driveways and walkways, and applying salt/​ice melters. Our entire snow response team is trained regularly on the latest SIMA methods, benefiting our customers with dependable, efficient and professional snow and ice removal services. We work year round to provide superior landscape management and snow and ice management to ensure our customers’ properties sustain value and beauty over the years.

History

Established in 2007.

Owner, Robert Smart, began Smart Scapes Landscaping, Inc. after selling his previous company. Smart has been in the landscape and snow & ice management business since 1978. In 2007, he closed the door on 22 years as owner of his previous company, and immediately began building a new maintenance company called Smart Scapes Landscaping and realized his vision of a retail supply yard — Mr. Yard Landscape Supply. Several loyal team members followed Smart in his endeavor and are proud to be part of these growing companies. With over 85 years of combined landscaping and snow/​ice management experience, the Smart Scapes team is ready to provide customers with high quality, professional service all year long. Business Owner

Robert Smart has been in the landscape and snow & ice management business since 1978. He has been a business owner for almost 30 years, intent on keeping up to date with the latest products, services and techniques available in these industries. To that end, Smart is an Ohio Nursery Certified Technician, a SIMA Certified Snow Professional, and is certified by Kichler and Unilock. Smart is an active member of SIMA, having volunteered on multiple committees, and currently serving as a board member. He also maintains professional affiliations with several other associations. His many accolades range from local to national recognition including the SIMA Excellence in Business, SIMA Volunteer of the Year, and the cover story in the May 2008 issue of Snow Business Magazine, just to name a few. Smart has lent his expertise as a consultant and expert witness in the industry, and he has also been invited to share his knowledge as a speaker/​trainer at numerous seminars across the country.
