History

Established in 1865.

Some might remember us as Jerry’s from the ’70’s. History tells us that the Farm House was a thriving rowdy bar back in the 1800’s, along with several other bars and hotels located in Olema during the railroad days.

Plus who remembers «The Fog», a 1980 horror film directed by John Carpenter, starring Adrienne Barbeau, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Atkins and Janet Leigh. Filmed in Point Reyes, and at the Farm House, the movie tells the story of a strange, glowing fog that sweeps in over a small coastal town in California, bringing with it the vengeful ghosts of mariners who were killed in a shipwreck there exactly 100 years earlier.

I’ve heard that we do have ghosts in the Farm House — friendly ghosts who might be seen sitting at a barstool reminiscing about the «good old days».

The Farm House has great history. Check out all the old photographs and memorabilia around the interior of the restaurant.
