MASH Urgent Care

Every time I’ve been here I have a had excpetional service. It’s much faster than going to Olean General Hospital.

When we arrived it was not busy with only one person ahead of us. We got in, seen, and patched up and sent home within about 45 minutes. The timeliness was worth a lot. And the level of care was professional.

I went to the mash urgent care for the first time as i had an inflammation, Dr Mast who treated me was very unfriendly and took the liberty (after never had met me before) to look up my history and saw that i had been prescribed pain killers 3 months prior for 1 root canal fallowed by pulling out 2 teeth prior to my visit. Dr Mast treated me as if i came to his office to get pills. As if i was lying about my problem. I did not need pain killers i needed antibiotics for my inflammation which he didn’t subscribe which was fine, i needed something to get me better. I do not like taking medicine and try to be as homeopathic as possible until nothing helps. He acted annoyed and seemed to be in a bad mood. i asked for a generic version of this nasal spray he prescribed and so he stormed out of the room. sent the nurse back to my room and i never saw him again. Thanks for making me feel insignificant. That Dr has bad bedside manner and is very arrogant.
The nurses were very sweet.

I found them a tad rude and condescending when I took my son in. They did not seem to want to listen and jumped to a DX before I even finished talking.

Excellent alternative to the ER.
This facility is new, clean and efficient. The staff treated us with compassion and took their job seriously.
They can’t treat more serious conditions and they were up front with us about that. They offered to refer us to the ER right away to avoid paying for two medical visits for one condition. We stayed with them and they were able to treat us but it was nice that they considered what would be best for our pocketbook as well as our bodies.
Our experience was pleasant under the circumstances and we will use this facility in the future.
