History

Established in 1997.

Many people ask us about the origins of SMU Productions simply because of our name. So what exactly is SMU Productions? It all started when Sharon Hill got her Master Degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Tx and went on to become a professor teaching courses in video production. From there, SMU Productions was born… hence, «Sharon Marie Unlimited.»

The business began in 1997 as a small video facility in Clearwater, FL specializing in self-​editing suites that could be rented by the hour. With a background in video production, the company started to grow into providing more advanced video content for many local business. As a result, in 2001, SMU Productions moved to a new location to accommodate the need for more space.

Today, SMU Productions is located in our new 6,000sq production facility in Oldsmar, Florida. We now offer HD Video services, studio rental, website design as well as video content for the web. Feel free to stop by and say hello.
