My family decided to use Gulf Stream pools to install our pool bc of great referrals from our neighbors. We LOVE our pool. I couldn’t be more disappointed in the the customer service. From the start we went through 3 sales men who were not eager to help us design or build our pool. I could go on and on but will leave it at that. After a complaint I did get a salesman willing to help us without issues. At this point we just wanted it done. No negotiating on price and took all of his recommendations thinking it we just wanted it to be a smoother experience from there. That couldn’t be more wrong. They didn’t install the correct equipment and everyone blamed each other for the fault… We didn’t get what we ordered and the labors here instead of listening to us did it anyway. The excavators destroyed the neighboring community property which we now have to pay to re-​sod. They promised us and we WELL payed for a 6 inch wall at the end of the pool that wasn’t built using the materials we wanted and the mesh will not last a year bc of its poor quality resulting in dirt going into our pool. This concern was brought to my salesman many times to only be COMPLETELY ignored. Our only tree in our yard in still sideways from them hitting it and not repairing it during the build. We never received directions from our sales associate on anything. We still haven’t gotten a CO from the city. I couldn’t be more stressed and dissatisfied in a company that has zero interest in customer concerns and interest. Yes our pool is beautiful! I’m in sales and would NEVER NOT respond to my clients needs and concerns!

I just hit my one year mark in my new home with my new pool! I am still in awe everyday at the final result.
I had a vision of the design when I went to Gulfstream Pools. I have used Gulfstream for 2 new builds and a re-​model.
They used their 3D software to make my vision become a reality.
Once the designs were finalized, I picked my materials and was given timelines of permitting, start date, completion date, etc.
Luckily, we weren’t delayed due to any rain or harsh weather conditions.
Tim, the owner checked on my property weekly and I was sent updates along the way.
I was very grateful that they had flexibility and allowed me to make a few changes halfway through the project. In the end, the resort pool of my dreams had been created!
I wish we weren’t having so much rain this season so I could enjoy being in my pool more often.
I have recommended Gulfstream to several of my friends needing remodels and will continue to do so!

I want to start out by saying we decided to go with Gulfstream because a friend of ours also had their pool done by Gulfstream and loved it. Plus, I like to support local businesses. While the work itself was stellar in the end, the customer service was beyond horrible. I’ve never paid so much money for something to get the worst service ever. It started with zero communication (tons of unanswered calls and no answers to any questions), and lasted that way until the very end. I was told I’d receive my plans via email, and they never arrived. When the company finally said someone was coming out to dig, the plans went completely against everything my husband and I had told the salesperson we wanted. So, plans had to be redrawn. Once it was time to dig, the workers were pumping water into the street from the ground. The city of Oldsmar attempted to shut it down because the water, filled with contaminates, was polluting the bay. So, the workers decided to run the water into my neighbor’s yard, killing all their grass. And all the dirt that was dug up was placed in my other neighbor’s yard because the workers didn’t use a silt fence. The workers completely demolished our property and existing deck, all which now needs fixing. They cracked our sideway (it took nearly two months to even get an answer if they would fix it), stained a large portion of the street from the water issue (again, took forever to get an answer if that would be fixed or not), and graded out a large portion of the extra dirt all over our yard, killing all our grass. When the site manager called and said he was also concerned about the amount of dirt that was placed on the yard, my husband and I both tried to get answers on how this would be fixed, as it went above and beyond what was noted in the contract. Again, I got the run around. I asked to speak with the owner several times, and was constantly reverted to the brother’s owner, who only tried to calm me down with «well, it’s in the contract» and other sales tactics without listening to my concerns. He finally said we would work it out once the job was done. I expressed my concern that if I paid the last draws, I was scared none of this would be corrected, but I was assured it would be fixed.
Once the job was done, the story changed. He went back to the contract rules, and I explained that’s not what we discussed before, and the site manager had also said this was above and beyond what the yard should look like. It had to go to such an extreme level, and that’s when I finally met the owner (something I’d been requesting since the beginning). He was very nice, and on the spot, agreed to help out with the sod. I honestly felt like maybe he didn’t understand the lack of customer service his company is providing. I thought we were back on the same page, and we moved forward with pool school. The pool guy didn’t show up for our first appointment. Second appointment, he ran threw everything very quickly (there is no paperwork or manuals or anything for reference provided), and said he would be back to put in chemicals and show us how to use the vacuum on a Friday. He never showed. He came back more than a week later and threw in the vacuum but no instructions on chemicals or using the manual vacuum. It got to the point that the pool turned completely green and was filled with slime so we couldn’t use it. We called to speak with the owner and again was told that he was busy and didn’t have an email address so we couldn’t speak to him. At this point, we just had had it with the service that we cancelled all communication with Gulfstream and went to Pinch a Penny to get the pool in shape. When PAP came out, they found cords and plugs not even hooked up right, were shocked at the state our pool and got it up and running while teaching us pool basics within 24 hours. The work itself was stellar but I wouldn’t recommend using this company if you expect any service.

My wife and I purchased a house with a pool in December of 2013, we loved the house, and the location but the pool had certainly not been maintained. The most that had been done was chlorine to keep it from turning green.
The entire patio area (approx 1000sqft) needed to be re-​done along with the pool finish, I was willing to spend the money, but wasn’t just going to give the job to the lowest bidder either.
I had 5 companies come out and price out the job, out of the 5 one never returned a bid to me, one was way high, the other 3 all fell in the same ball park.
I decided to go with Gulfstream Pools, and am very satisfied with my choice and their quality of work.
Tim, the owner came out to do the original quote, and was very accommodating to our working schedule. He explained all of the options available to us, invited my wife and I to come down to the showroom (you really should check it out, its pretty neat and you get an idea of what the finishes will look like) gave a thorough explanation of the process, and answered any questions I had.
What I really appreciated was that Tim followed up a few days later asking if we had any other questions, out of the 5 companies that came out, he was the one that seemed genuinely interested in our project and followed up with me. Even driving back out to the house after a minor miscommunication on where we would meet to sign the paperwork. Didn’t argue, did fret, he just said «I’ll be there in about 20 mins».
We opted to go with the pavers, and have the waterline tile re-​done. My wife and I went down to the showroom, and the gentleman there was helpful in making selections for the pavers, waterline tile, and the «color» of Pebble-​Sheen we went with.
Once everything was signed, It took around 2 weeks for the work to begin. Ted, the foreman contacted me to let me know people and materials would begin arriving. I did not have much interaction from the various crews, but the interaction I did have, they were all extremely professional, polite and courteous. When each crew was done, it was almost as they had never been there. By that I mean, the tools where gone, patio area cleaned up and any debris moved into the pool (which is obviously removed at a later time) or a pile they had on a tarp in the side yard.
Throughout the process, I did have a few questions, however both Tim and Ted where quick to return my phone calls and answer my questions. The few nit-​picky items I did find, there was no fuss about having them corrected. Now, by nit-​picky I do mean, they were minor details, and only because everything else looked so great, it was just a shame to not have them corrected. If there where larger problems, I probably would have never noticed them. It took me walking around the deck for 15 – 20 mins to really find any flaws.
We opted to have the bottom rail of the screen enclosure removed so the pavers would go all the way to the edge of the deck. It was around $ 850 more to have this done, but totally worth it. It just gives the deck a much more complete and quality look to it. They come back and replace the bottom rail and the lower part of the screen once the pavers are done.
After it was complete, we used Gulfstream’s preferred baby gate company «Baby Guard» Mark came out and installed the baby gate around the pool which also looks outstanding, again Mark was accommodating to our schedule and very professional.
After it was all said and done, everyone who has seen it from friends, parents, and neighbors all think it looks great and we are really happy with it.
I know you can read a lot of horror stories out there about pool companies (I read a few while researching companies) but I had none of that with Gulfstream, it was top notch service all the way.

Replaced a few spa jets in spa
Remove old gas heater
Plumb in new backflow valve for spa
Replace bottom portion of screen enclosure
Install PebbleTec «PebbleSheen» pool finish
Replace deck drain
Install Baby Gate
We can’t wait to use the pool as the warm weather approaches, and will be saving for a new heater to extend the use of the pool and spa into the cooler months.
