AMC Woodlands Square 20

It is the typical AMC, but very clean and well organized. The staff are courteous and helpful. I came to see My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. Parking was a breeze the parking lot is large and there is ample parking for everyone the ticket booth is outside with multiple windows and lines to allow customers to move through the line easily. The restrooms are large with multiple stalls to allow the ladies room line to move quickly. For folks that live in Tampa the theater is a hike. It took me 40 minutes to get there, but it was the only theater still showing the film.

Our Goto Theater most people goto the Vet AMC but from us distance is about the same and there’s half the people at this one :) Line que isn’t terrible but it’s always easier just to buy your tickets online or in app and get them inside. Stubbs program is worth the extra 10 or 15 bucks a year if you goto the movies maybe 4 times a year. Upgrades on drinks and Popcorn alone make your money back. Theater itself has all the amenities you except IMAX, 3D, etc. Seating is comfortable and roomy. The bar is overpriced and under stocked but your at a movie theater so hopefully you don’t expect much. Our favorite thing is the coke machines with all the different Coke flavors… Diet Coke with Orange every time :)

Great spot, lots of choices to eat before and after the movies. This AMC is always clean and staff are nice and friendly.

Nice theater — clean and comfortable. However, we started going to some other theaters as the food was so expensive and not good. We love popcorn at the theater and theirs is ALWAYS cold… When they get done popping the popcorn they bag it up in the bags for sale and it sits in those bags for awhile before it gets sold. I understand that this makes the sale go faster, but it is not hot and not fresh. For what we pay for food there — almost $ 30 for a couple of bags of popcorn and drinks — I expect fresh popcorn. Also, unlike most theaters, they do not sell a popcorn bucket that my husband and I can just share.

I’ve enjoyed seeing movies at this theater. It’s located in a plaza that looks somewhat empty, but don’t be fooled because there are tons of shops and restaurants within walking distance to check out before or after seeing your movie.
There are always lots of movie times, the parking lot, theaters and the restrooms are clean, the concession stand has fresh popcorn and the usual eats, the staff is courteous and the ticket prices are very decent.
I believe about a year ago a bar opened up inside. We’ve gotten a few beers from there and brought them into the theater to drink while watching the movies. It might seem like a good idea, until you fall asleep during a bad movie OR have to run to the restroom in the middle of a good movie.

As we looked for parking, I noticed the box office in front of the building was closed. At this point, I wasn’t concerned — we don’t go to movie theaters regularly, and certainly not during the week, so I initially assumed this was typical weeknight protocol here. Unfortunately, as we entered the lobby, we learned that all of their card-​processing was down. No AMC Stubs benefits! Ugh! AND cash only! Horribly inconvenient! As we only had $ 10 in cash, we had to decide between a soda or popcorn… A small size of each would’ve been more than $ 11…and the theatre offered no discount for the cash-​only situation. Helpfully, an employer pointed across the parking lot to a bank nearby with an ATM. I went with a small soda, & was relieved to have gotten back change. I’d noticed large sodas had free refills, but I knew I wouldn’t want to leave during the show. Good plan, because as we exited the theatre, we noticed the entire snack bar, including freestyle dispensers, was shut down, AT 8:30.
This was our first visit to this theatre, and I hate to say they didn’t make a good impression. In fact, the only reason I’m giving this location a star is that the audio quality was much better than a non-​AMC theatre had been for a similar ’70’s concert event (& remember, zero stars isn’t an option). I really hope Fathom Events can find alternate AMC theatres in the Tampa Bay area so I don’t have to come back to this one.

Clean, nice chairs, plenty of parking… pretty much everything you’d expect from a decent movie experience. I like that the soda machines are self-​refillable although I didn’t take advantage of a refill. They also serve alcohol which is a new feature – also didn’t get any in an A.M. movie show but it’s cool to know that is an option, despite the huge mark ups of price of course.
I was a little annoyed going early morning and purchasing tickets on Fandango, for some reason (I guess because at non busy times there’s few employees) the ticket booth wasn’t open, just the guest relations inside to buy/​redeem your ticket. So buying online you still had to wait to get the tickets seen and ripped by the employees. Still, this is a good place for a movie going experience.

Used the amc app to pre purchase tickets but still had to wait in a long line to have the staff print the tickets (which was not an option from home). Staff was friendly but seats were very stiff and old and dingy. Theatre needs an upgrade as far as seating goes.

I love this movie theater. The staff has always been very helpful and polite. Management seems to take pride in ensuring cleanliness is a priority. The servers and the front desk personnel have always been kind and helpful. Love the pride they take in keeping it clean and confortable. Love the rewards card! As always the popcorn and sodas are extremely expensive and wish they would serve funnel cakes with fudge. The bar is very tidy and very presentable. Love it! They should continue to make it even more confy, clean, tidy and elegant.

Unsalted popcorn. Movie theater popcorn should have a touch of butter and salt flavor. It’s supposed to be where anyone can find the best popcorn anywhere. :(
Adult beverages in lobby area is a nice touch. Maybe it will help me forget the yucky pizza I just ate.

We have never had trouble getting a seat, waiting in super long lines, or any issues with the movie itself. The plaza location has some quick, fast-​casual dinner options and even a dollar store if you’re looking to break the rules and sneak in cheap candy (I have never done this, of course!). Will continue to be our go to theater in this area.

We have been going to this AMC near our home since we moved here in 2006.
The theatre is always clean and the staff very welcoming. The concession stand is clean and inviting. It’s bright and colorful and a great place to see a movie with the family or on a date. Speaking of dates, they just opened a bar inside this AMC and although I’ve never bought a drink there, when its open there is always a line.
The theatre themselves are pretty clean considering the amount of people that track food and drinks in and out daily. As all floors in places like these they can be a bit sticky.
AMC always has the latest movies with a good variety of times to choose from. Discounts for earlier shows is a great way to take the family and not break the monthly budget. If you are an AMC Stubbs reward card holder the benefits are endless, now to include lower movie prices on Tuesdays. :)
Great local neighborhood movie theatre!!!

I’m not all about this movie theater. Seats are super uncomfy, kind of lopsided too or something, and I feel like people are smooshed together like sardines. When I see a movie, I want the experience with being in my living room without being there. I have found that other places. For the price of these movies, you would think the movie theaters would be kept up better.
Sound quality is fine. Ticket check in is fine and quick. Parking, it’s not the greatest here, but if you are patient you will find it. If you want popcorn or snacks, come earlier since you will be waiting in line. That is to be expected anywhere.

I went to the movie with a group of Unilocal friend to see the girl scream movie. Our arriving was on time. It did not give us more time to look at the popcorn or drink. Only enough time for rest room before the show. The restroom is clean and nice.
The theater facility is just average. The most important thing for the movie goers is the chair. The chair that we got cannot recline or push forward. This is very uncomfortable for two hours movie. Furthermore, the chair seat cushion cannot be up right to allow people stand up and let the other people pass in front of you. Basically either you have to squeeze between the knees of the person who are seated and pass them through the other side or take a long walk down to the front row to get to other side. The design is not great. The sound system is not the great. My home theater surround sound system is better than this. People come to theater instead of home is to enjoy the sound system, comfortable seat and thirdly the junk food.
The theater have enough dim light for safety, light walk way light, overhead dim light, clear mark exit light. It is save. However I prefer more exit such as exit near the screen. Our auditorium does not have that. With the above reason, I have experience better.

Huge theater building and one of only a few that had the movie I wanted to watch. It was 3pm and the ticket line was out into the street. kind of means you need to manage your schedule and put more workers out in the ticket booth especially for a huge movie release. Ironically we bought tickets on Fandango and went to the kiosk to print them out but … all of their machines were down and we had to wait in the 50 people deep customer service line. I’m ok with lines except the workers at the customer service desk were the ‘let’s have a conversation with every single person about life…’ really pump and dump people! Anyways, nothing too special about this place it’s just like any other AMC theater.

AMC Woodlands 20 is definitely my «go-​to» movie theater. Plenty of parking, fast service, 3D + Imax showings, comfortable seating and a full bar. It gets my vote of approval. Can’t find one bad thing to say about them. AMC is definitely way ahead of Regal, in terms of service and the way they design their theaters. Regal seems to put in the bare minimum while AMC is either designing or re-​designing most of their locations to look more modern and/​or offer more services (i.e. different food options, self dispensing soda options, bar area, and overall look). Need more… the prices food food are (relatively) reasonable compared to other movie theaters who seem to have no problem gauging their captive audiences for every dollar they can get.

It does what a movie theater does… show movies on time LOL… Good prices — comfortable stadium seating… the arm rest goes up if you want to put your arm around your girl or guy… clean bathrooms, and the staff is friendly. You can become a member of AMC and earn points for free concessions and free movie ticket too you can also purchase tickets on-​line. Full concessions available including a place to enjoy beer, wine and cocktails at the show… Great date night venue!!!

The movie theater is pretty nice and seems pretty clean overall. Chairs are OK — I think I’m spoiled from going to AMCs in Orlando — the DTD and Universal seem to have larger and roomier chairs… the seats in this one seem pretty tight.
There is plenty of parking — even behind the theater has great spots.

Um no. I’ve spent my last hard-​earned penny at this place. Before the days of Villagio in Carrollwood, I used to frequent this theater all the time to watch movies because it’s less crowded than the Veterans over on Anderson. Less kids too. But we went last weekend to see the new Transformers movie, and it was a complete flop. First off, halfway through the movie, the sound went awry. The sounds effects became extremely loud, and the talking became low and muffled. For half of the movie, I was literally forced to read lips to figure out conversations. The speakers started making crackling sounds. Man, it was focking TERRIBLE. Then, as if that wasn’t frustrating enough, I think they shut the air conditioning off because the last 30 minutes of the movie, it got hot as hell and my neck actually began sweating.
Never again Woodlands! Never again!!!1

Woodlands is our ‘go to’ theater for IMAX and 3-​D movies. To avoid large crowds, we usually go to the Sunday morning showings. An extra plus to the IMAX theater is the second floor elevator and adjacent bathroom for those mid-​movie emergencies. The theaters and bathrooms are always spotless. The snack bar is always clean and appealing.
