H.A. Latham Moving & Storage

This is a great company. Like another reviewer, we too had a complicated move. We moved some things from Connecticut to upstate New York and the remainder to Miami. Everyone we came into contact with at the company was top notch – trustworthy, straight forward, energetic, and thoughtful. The house that we were moving into in Miami was quite challenging. But it was no match for Tim and Josh. Our family was in awe with not only their physical strength but also their demeanor and ingenuity. With Latham you get not only brawn, but brains as well!

This is a good old fashion family business. They are honest, generous, helpful and simply great people. If you are moving, need moving supplies or to rent a truck this is the only place to go. Thank you Chris!

We used H. A. Latham for a fairly complicated move in April 2012. Even though we were moving from the Stamford CT area, we used this family-​owned company from Old Saybrook, CT as they had been recommended to us by a local realtor. We were moving household furnishings, including a piano, and boxes (which we packed) south to 4 different addresses between New Jersey and North Carolina. At one address they were picking up a baby grand piano to deliver to another stop. It definitely required some coordination.
So, what was important…
–the office staff is friendly, competent, efficient, follows through, and is clearly skilled in developing quotes
–they arrived on time
–they were very professional
–each mover had years and years of experience
–they were very careful moving each item: no dings in walls or furniture
–they were courteous; even by the last stop in North Carolina we received reports about how great the movers were!
–and…the final cost came in within $ 36 of the estimate, which was based on travel, fuel surcharge and the estimated hours for loading and unloading. That is incredible!
Would I use them again? Absolutely! I wouldn’t use anyone else.
