I grew up in a family run sandwich shop/​restaurant run by my father for as long as I can remember. I started working for him when I was 12 years old. I took a break and went on to school but returned to the food business in 2000.

Great little sandwich shop. Have been stopping here maybe 12 years. Consistent good food. To go only. Good chef salad. Really like the burger sub. Cheap good eats with friendly service.
This is my go to place for lunch when I am in old orchard beach. Easy to park and you don’t have to fight the crowds. Today I had a belly buster which is as the name implies. It was huge. Worked on it a few hours then finally shared the remainder with my newf.
The also have a turkey dinner in a sandwich that my wife really likes.

Best sausage and gravy ever! Only problem was they ran out :(I only got to have it once but would have eaten it every breakfast if I could have.

Shelly’s Sandwich Shop is a convenient spot on one of the main roads (Saco Ave) in OOB. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer a free breakfast loyalty card and free coffee club card. The food is good (although fried food tends to be a bit greasy.) Prices are a bit high, but overall, if you’re in the area, stop by and give it a try. They are open all year for breakfast, lunch and early dinner.

Overpriced by a smidge. Food is mediocre. People that work there are cool. I live 5 min walking distance, but I drive elsewhere. The only time I end up there I am insanely hung over.
Breakfast plate is «bleh». Sandwiches would be fine for me, but too pricey for the lack of substance. If it was not for their location and lack of competition they would be closed.
I wait the day for old orchard to someday get some decent casual sub shop.
