Acting in the Moment equips aspiring performing artists with invaluable tools that transfer both on and off stage. Utilizing the Meisner Technique, Matt Unger teaches the importance of truthful behavior on stage through voice and movement work, classic exercises, improvisation, and scene study. Stage Stars Studios in Somerville, NJ is the perfect space for students to both learn and showcase the culmination of their work. Acting in the Moment offers both 12-Week Courses and ongoing classes throughout the year.

Matt Unger is a professional theater artist and teacher with a wide range of experience involving the New York acting industry. Matt has worked with several NY agents and managers over the past 15 years and has appeared on hit television shows including Law and Order, The Sopranos, and Guiding Light. He has also starred in over a dozen national television and radio commercials. He graduated with a BFA in Theater Arts at Rutgers University’s conservatory training program, Mason Gross School of the Arts. In 2006, upon successful completion of the undergraduate acting program, Matt began to teach drama to children and young adults in Highland Park, NJ while working as an actor in NY. Acting in the Moment began in an effort to equip eager and ambitious performing artists with professional technique in a safe space. He uses a combination of constructive critique, humor, and kindness to get the best out of his students and help them cultivate their talent.
