Forgive me Doctor for I have sinned, it has been 12 months since my last cleaning… My penance for such neglect was another appointment to fill some cavities. But the people at this office made it like saying a few Hail Mary’s, very easy and not painful at all! My first visit for my cleaning and check up was above my expectations. The hygienist, Kylee, was informative and made me feel comfortable. She did bring me bad news that I would need to come back and have a cavity filled and a couple other older fillings replaced. I expected some of these issues but what I didn’t expect was their kindness, low pressure approach as well as a knowledge of my insurance coverage. They knew exactly what my insurance would cover and how much out of pocket I would pay. We agreed on a plan and scheduled the appointment a few days later. When I returned they greeted me by name like I have been coming here for years even though this was only my second visit. I was in and out and all fixed up in 30 minutes and in no way did I feel like Dr. Sjogren was rushing through it. He was just that good! He even was helping teach a new dental assistant. She confessed to me it was her first day, but she did great! Its nice to have a found a good dentist and so close to home, so I am singing their praises! AMEN

I think it might be illegal in some states to say you love your dental office, but I have to say it, if loving my dental office is wrong, I don’t wanna be right! ;) Instead of just shoving a clip board at me as with most dental and doctor offices, the hygienist calls you back and takes your new patient history personally. I like this as it allows them to understand any issues there may be so that it can help in your treatment. Talking about it makes a lot more sense than just checking off a box. Next I had to do a round of x-rays and pictures being this are a new dentist for me. With the exception of the billing, this is the worst part of a dentist visit for me. I have a small mouth and a terrible gag reflex. The lady who took the pictures and x-rays was extremely patient, helpful with tips, and extremely friendly. She made the horrible experience the best it ever has been for me. I had to get a filling replaced and a cleaning. They were able to squeeze me in right away for the filling replacement(which may not be normal, but they really work with you and scheduling.) Everything was handled excellently. I experienced no pain or discomfort. My reason for leaving my last dentist was their deceptive billing. Dr. Sjogren’s office does a great job at sitting down and going over the prices, offering options if you need them, and making sure you understand each part of the billing. This is tremendously better than just having a piece of paper that makes no sense pushed at you and being told it is an estimate and you need to sign it as most offices do. Overall, the time and attention they take at absolutely every step in the process is above and beyond any dentist I have ever been to. This is what makes Dr. Sjogren’s office 5 stars, «as good as it gets!» I couldn’t be more impressed with a dental office. My hygienist was Kylee and I wish I could write up a separate review just for her. She is the one who started the visit on a positive note going through the patient history with me, was able to relate some of my history to an issue I am having so that I can better understand and tackle it, she was excellent with explaining the billing. Everyone in the office was absolutely fantastic, but Kylee deserves to be singled out for making me a long term client!
