I was immediately told that no balloons would be filled until after 4pm. Her party is at 2p. When I asked why, she said it was because they were backed up with over 100 orders placed for graduations. I asked to speak with the manager, who was standing behind the cashier at the helium tank filling balloons. Kory, the manager, said he refused to fill 1 mylar birthday balloon for my daughter while I’m standing in line with my kids ready to pay. The cashier rang everything up and I asked Kory again, could he not consider filling just one mylar balloon up for my kid. His response, «If I do it for you I would have to do it for everyone. «There was no one else in line. I said I wanted to cancel my order, in which Kory stopped filling balloons up, walked over to the cashier and cancelled the order. He showed me a canceled receipt and I asked for a copy to which he said he needed to go to the office to do this. I told him I would wait. About 4 minutes later he comes back and gives me the copy and for the first time in the whole transaction says, «I apologize. « What took a total of probably 10 minutes of excuses, denials and explanations could have been avoided altogether by just filling 1 balloon.
