History
Established in 2001.
Xcel Office Solutions started in 1997 as local Xerox agency for territories in Oklahoma. Over time, the company evolved from selling Xerox copiers and products into a full-service technology solutions company for businesses and office environments. Founders Wayne Tyler and Michael Reid believed there was a disconnect between hardware and software in many business environments, and by bridging this gap they could simplify and streamline their clients’ work experiences.
Over time, Xcel evolved to add new services to help customers increase productivity and manage their technology. These solutions include a Managed Print Services solution to allow simple and efficient management of customer printer fleets, from automated service and supplies ordering to monitoring and controlling print costs; a document management solution that leveraged their customers’ existing copiers and printers to create automated scanning-related workflow processes; and complete business IT services.

Michael Reid, co-founder of Xcel Office Solutions, wants to live in a world where business owners, regardless of size, embrace the power of technology. With a degree in Management Information Systems, 11 years of sales experience, and an amazing head of hair, Michael has become an expert at identifying opportunities in which businesses can utilize technology to solve operational challenges in the workplace. When he’s not identifying flawed business processes, you can find him on a golf course working on his short game, reading the latest Dave Ramsey book, or walking around his house turning the lights off after his wife and children.
