Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Every time I go here, I ask myself why I went. Two different trucks with the same engine. One runs approximately $ 80 and the other $ 135. When I compared receipts, they charged $ 31.00 for one extra quart of oil. Whenever they check my trucks, I’m told they’re about to fall apart and need about $ 500 worth of add on services even though they’re new trucks. I don’t have to do them, but I’m destroying my truck and will die in a car crash if I don’t. I didn’t realize new trucks that get all dealer service were in that bad of shape before the warranty even expires. I hate to have to say it like that because the guys are very nice, but damn the hard sell they give is rough.

I had my blower motor replaced back in September here because it was cutting on and off and finally quit working all together. I told them it may be an electrical issue but they ended up replacing it anyway for about $ 200. I was just glad to have a/​c again.
It worked fine until that winter storm came in on December 5^th and it decided to quit working in the middle of the storm which left me stranded in Norman, unable to keep ice off my windshield. I went and retrieved my car that Saturday and immediately took it to their shop since I had a year warranty on the part. They said they were too busy and to come back Monday. I went back Monday, they were about half happy to see me, and it took them all of 5 minutes to mess with the wires and it was working again. It worked for about two hours and then quit, so I went another day with no heat and a foggy windshield. Took it back the next day and a guy that was pretty nice got down there with a screwdriver and it has been working consistently for a few days now. Basically I feel like it was just an electrical problem all along and the old motor may have been working fine. Sucks to be out $ 200 but I guess it is what it is.

I understand most people don’t understand «car issues» and oil changes. This place tried to lie & scam me. I ask a lot of questions during all my visits to oil change establishments and mechanics and I always get a second opinion for big estimates. I was quoted over $ 300 for an oil change & radiator fluid. I always maintain my vehicles (have 5) and know what it costs for radiator fluid and a filter… Then I said no that’s too high ill have that done elsewhere he then offers $ 100 off if I do it right now. I decline. Very bad business and manager/​owner should keep close tabs on employees this is very bad for business and borders on problems handled by better business bureau and consumer fraud.
Please take your car only to trusted reputable mechanics even for oil change.

As a woman I always dread driving into a oil or mechanics place, out of fear that everything and anything will need to be «Fixed». Granted I had no choice cause my check oil light was on and I knew I was long over due.
Upon pulling in, I didn’t realize they were closed, it was 7:45am and they opened at 8:00am. The gentleman gladly told me to pull in and just let him grab a cup of coffee. As a coffee lover I could totally respect the need for for it, as I can hardly function without it.
I felt like a pilot being directed onto the landing strip, and I could hear the Top Gun Soundtrack to Danger Zone pumping through my head. Excited I landed right on the path and didn’t fall off! I didn’t eject to early and lose Goose in the process.
Feeling like royalty as they surrounded me, asking me how I’m doing and what a nice day it was, I thought I had a chance to succeed in this oil change. They were very professional and walked me through my year of abuse and damage I inflicted on my car. My brake fluid shouldn’t be black, should be clear. Indeed they are right. They gave me a small list of the things I needed to fix, putting the priority on the top of it. Any questions I had, where fully explained in detail. They were prompt in getting it done, and gentle with my car. Was truly a wonderful experience.
I would recommend going here, the prices are reasonable, the staff was experienced and friendly. Very knowledgeable and patient with my ridiculous questions of the space time continuum. «If I hit 88 miles a hour and have plutonium will I go back in time?» I look forward to my next visit with these guys!
