History

Established in 1987.

Established in 1987 Salon Service Group was founded in March of 1987 by Gino Barbo, a native Australian. Gino started his professional wholesale salon supply company with one product line, an answering machine and a Ford Thunderbird. Gino quickly realized that it would take more than just his Australian accent to be successful in the beauty supply business. He worked hard to earn the trust of those first salon professionals and he’s still doing that today. Though SSG has grown, you’ll still find Gino in professional salons nearly every week. Not because he has to, but because that’s what he enjoys. Gino has also assembled a talented and creative staff that is prepared and eager to assist you.
