The nostalgia and charm of an neighborhood watering hole. Comfy, dim and always friendly!

Best bar hamburgers and Club Sandwiches in town. Fantastic, classic OKC pub!!! When you walk through the door you’re immediately part of the Rooster family. Come by, drink some beer, make some friends and enjoy the Paseo district.

Do you like dive bars where you can smoke, play pool and run into someone you know fairly regularly? If so, Rooster is the place for you. Some things to know: 1. You will leave smelling like smoke no matter what. 2. There is no liquor, so come ready to drink beer. 3. They recently started serving a fairly ill menu of burger-type foods until 1 am. There’s always a spot in front of a tv if to need to watch a game(or HBOgo for that matter) and the bartenders are THEBEST. Be good to them and you will always have a great time at the Roo.

Well really, probably most people would rate this 3 stars and maybe I should to but I’m to frequent a guest to do that, some places are easy. Yes it’s 3 point beer, it right next to a school and we live in Oklahoma so that’s just how it goes I guess, I’m sure it’s not the Red Roosters fault. They offer Killians and Blue Moon on tap which at least are the better tasting 3 point beers. I’m giving it 4 stars and here’s why. DOGFRIENDLY(Like super dog friendly) CHEAP(Like really cheap) EASY(it’s has laid back atmosphere and I like that, it helps remember to slow down) If this seems like a dive bar for locals and regulars, that’s because it is.

Red Rooster is a good bar to hang out and chat with peeps after a long day at work. It isn’t loud, it isn’t uppity, it is just relaxed. That is all I need sometimes.

I’ve noticed this place near the Paseo for a long time now and have been wanting to check it out, so I decided to go on Friday night. It was about 9:30 during a Thunder game, and it was nearly empty. Seems more like a place that has all regulars and no new people visit. The bartender was very nice. My main complaint is that their beer was 3.2% and cost as much as the 5−6% beers at other bars. So in my opinion, it isn’t worth it and I will not be returning.

This is what a dive bar should be. Beer only, pitchers, bottles etc… Even if you only know like 3 people in Oklahoma City, chances are one of them will show up at the rooster. I’ve heard lunch is fantastic, but I’m never around that part of the city to hit it up(It goes quick from what I hear). Usually the bartenders are pleasant, one is especially nice. Nice little patio if you can grab it for the summertime jams. I hesitate to post this review so more people end up going, but it really is a great place, and an icon of OKC.

Aww the Venerable and Historic Red Rooster! «Any Cockle Do» etc etc. I love the Rooster! Aside from the no booze thing, this is a great place to gather with a friend or a crowd. The jukebox is never too loud for talking with a group. A decent pool table, darts, numerous tvs for people who are into that kind of thing. And a tiny patio. Certainly one of the best bars in OKC. A great cross section of locals, Paseo inhabitants, old drunks, aged has-beens and kids ready for a fun time.

I’ll probably miss the Rooster more than any other bar in OKC. The no liquor thing sucks but the food’s UNBELIEVABLE during lunch and super cheap and the atmosphere/bartenders are great. The quintessential dive bar. Steve, keep it up.

These idiots don’t know how to pick up a phone. What a waste of life! They are confused easily by new things like cellular technology. I really would recommend spending your money anywhere but here. The bartender on Tuesday afternoon must have been hiding behind the door when they passed out brains. I mean, he has an IQ lower than plant life. He couldn’t pour water out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel. A shining example of why you should avoid inbreeding.

Alot of beer available. Just not what I’d consider«the good stuff.» Best option was Boulevard Wheat. They also offer Blue Moon and Killian’s. That’s about the only 3 worth ordering. Prices are crazy cheap. Your biggest option is only $ 4.50. That’s unheard of. My friend had the huge beer(36 oz, i think) and 116 oz. I had 216 oz ones. Our tab was under $ 10! This is a cool spot to hang with friends. Smoking is allowed, and it’s almost guaranteed you’ll leave smelling like you rolled around in an ash tray.

If you like pina coladas, then this is not the place for you. But if you like cold beer and for your clothes to reek of ciggy smoke at the end of the night, then this is the place for you. Thumbs up.

This is a true dive bar, OKC style. No liquor only beer. They have shinerbock(my favorite beer) on tap, a killer juke box and, last but not least, Ms. Pacman.
