Penn Square Mall

Its a pretty big mall, but nothing stands out from any other mall, but the prices. North stat mall in San Antonio is about 30% cheaper. The place is 2 stories and about 2 miles to store front walkaround so that makes it pretty good. But you will not find any tacos de nalga here on a Wednesday afternoon.
The absolute saddest thing about this mall is the food court, not the food, but the employees. Its a weird thing to see all of them come here and you will see it for your self, its hard to explain, almost like Rod Sterling did the hiring for all of the food court employees.

I’ve only come here on weekdays so it’s nice and empty, can’t speak much on traffic or parking situations since it’s always good. The movie theatre here is great, and the store selection is awesome. Lots of stores here that appeal to me and my wife and that says a lot since we have opposite styles (she’s kind of European inspired business dress and I prefer the sporty/​skate feel) we didn’t try anything at the food court just because we don’t really do fast food too much (emergencies only).
The only bad thing I have to say has nothing to do with the mall and its stores, but watch out for the crazy people who come here. Two of the three times we’ve been here in the last month, I’ve had near miss car accidents with people speeding in the parking lots, driving at night without headlights on, crossing parking spaces as a «shortcut», running stop signs, it’s dangerous out here.
I have lived in San Diego and Denver, I thought those drivers were bad, a lot of Oklahoma drivers are an all new bottom feeding low.

The best mall in Oklahoma City. It is always full of people and has a variety of department stores, restaurants, and unique finds. I recommend this mall to anyone from out of town looking for a place to shop.

I think out of all the malls the one here at penn square mall is probably the best one offered here in okc. There also is an outlet about 15 minutes away as well. I mainly come here when I have a coupon at one of the stores I shop at.
There’s usually not a line at most shops here but for some reason I came here on New Year’s Day and the parking itself was hard to find. Once we found it we saw tons of cars that decide to be jerks and park taking two space… Totally rude…
We came around 4 pm and there was even lines at the food court. Luckily I found a clean table for us to sit and eat before we started to shop.
It’s clean here and the price is good. Most stores honor the online pricing and I don’t think I’ve ever had a negative experience with any of the employees.

Really nice mall for the OKC area. I used to favor the Quail Springs mall over Penn square, but that’s changed now, mainly due to its location. I’m not much of a shopper so I revert to my wife’s opinion on the stores and she seems to think it has everything that’s needed to satisfy a shop-​a-​holic.
Don’t get me wrong, this is great for OKC. I’ve been to larger cities though, and Penn Square is average compared to them. I do enjoy the food court though, has a nice, wide variety of options.

Nice mall with nice stores… but they need more variety with stores. The mall seems to be on the higher end of things. I’m a Dallas girl and we have alot of malls. All malls are pretty much the same to me. My fiancée did like the massage people

Penn Square Mall is pretty much where you need to go shop at. The mall is big and it looks more clean because of the tile flooring. Most stores there are pretty big and sometimes they’ll have two of one. Like 2 Dilliards, 2 Victoria Secret, etc. The Food Court has nice variety to it. You can go anywhere from Crepes, Chic-​Fil-​A, Panda Express, Starbucks.

My review is probably going to seem snobbish coming from a Dallas girl. It’s pretty much a standard low-​end mall. (The kind that we will continue to see going out of business in the coming years.) However, I found a few middle of the road shops that I like, White House Black Market, Ann Taylor Loft, and Banana Republic. They have a Godiva Chocolatier and a Loli and Pop. (Both high-​end candy stores) It’s clean and pleasant. I can’t complain. OKC is not my favorite place in OK, but it’s alright. I much prefer the high end shopping/​restaurants offered in Tulsa.

Parking here is a little bit of a headache but it’s worth it because it has so many of the stores that I need to shop at. Once inside it is clean and inviting. I love this mall.

Love this mall. Very nice selection of quality stores. Sales clerks at Teavana and See’s friendly and helpful. Tasty dinners from food court Cajun and salad selections. Covered parking garage kept our truck safe from predicted large hail stones and mall personnel accommodated evacuees till danger passed around 10:30 p. m.
Microsoft manager and staff were particularly helpful allowing us to sit in

Love this mall. Has all my favorite stores and the AMC theater is amazing! Great restaurants nearby. Traffic is crazy coming off NW Expressway, especially on a Saturday.

Security staff are rude and abusive (check local news sites). And they just started pumping bad Kenny G muzak. If I didn’t work again store here, I wouldn’t come to the mall. It’s hell.

Not much here, compared to other cities. when it comes to malls, you say to your self? Is this it?

It is probably my favorite mall in Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas. It has two levels, the stores one might want to see (Sephora, Apple, VS, Fossil, J Crew, Ann Taylor, Loft, Microsoft, Swarovski, Teavana, Lush) and only about 25−30% is made up of tacky backyard teen dreams (Wet Seal, the food court, etc.). Actually, the food court has some pretty nice restaurants. Nevertheless, I personally think shopping malls will be relics of the past once our society is transformed to an age of mindfulness and money no longer exists (think of the world as one giant commune). But get your goods whilst you can in the one-​stop-​shopping-​mall of the 20^th/​21^st century. I know I will (on occasion, that is, when I need to get work clothes).

Updating my review and bumping up to one more star. I think I was a little harsh the first time, but after having my son. this has been a good place to take him. He enjoys the Lego store and absolutely LOVES Godiva. Everytime we come here, we have to go to the Godiva boutique and get a few truffles and a trufflelatta. My son has an extremely sophisticated palate for a 2-​year old, I think.
I also love that they have a Sephora, but I live really close to the one inside JCP in Town Center, which is the largest JCP Sephora in the city.
Mainly, I come here to waste time with my little one, he enjoys coming to Penn, and I enjoy taking him here to make him happy.
Another bonus is, our favorite restaurant is just outside so, usually it’s Sunday brunch at Whiskey Cake and then family shopping at the mall. Not a terrible mall for OKC. I hope they get some other clothing stores in like bebe, h&m, and a stand alone MAC store would be pretty neat as well.

All the salespeople in the kiosks get on my damn nerves! I mean it is out of control! I can barely walk down the isles without being harassed. They are way too pushy. FYI stay away from Bella Terra mineral cosmetics! Bought two eyeshadows for $ 20 each. Went home and looked online and they are $ 15 each. Total ripoff!

Great mall, lots of stores, plenty of restaurants. Only concern is that they should increase security presence for the teenagers that like to cause problems.

I’ve been to malls in Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, and Sacramento… and Penn Square doesn’t hold a candle to them. It’s just your average mall with average stores. I really try to avoid any mall, but I wanted some shoes and the mall just seemed convenient. Well, convenience doesn’t overshadow the sad/​disturbing experience that is Penn Square.
1. So many people are on their phones when they’re walking, they literally run into you.
2. There are way too many kids at the mall. No, thanks. I don’t like feeling like I’m in a Discovery Zone.
3. I haven’t seen so much belly fat hanging out of the bottom of t-​shirts in my life. Seriously… pale, sometimes wet, (No, I have no idea why.) and hairy sacs of fat hanging out of the bottoms of people’s shirts. If you’re going to present yourself in public, tuck in your belly. Some of us have just eaten a delicious onion burger and aren’t trying to taste it for a 2^nd time.
4. I’ve never been a fan of mall prices. Even the sales at malls don’t feel like sales.
So, those are my thoughts on Penn Square. I’ll never go to this mall, unless I feel that I absolutely have to.

For all my Bay Area folks who somehow find themselves in OKC, check this mall out! It reminds me of Valley Fair Mall in San Jose with plenty of the typical mall stores (Forever 21, Macy’s, etc.) but also stuff we don’t have in the Bay such as Dillard’s. I came here on a Tuesday night and the mall was hardly packed which made for a welcoming — and warm — window shopping experience.
There’s a Chick-​Fil-​A in the food court and plenty of seating. There are lots of other restaurants to chose from, but this is where my colleague ate haha.
This mall is very open, organized and has PLENTY of buying choices for men, women and children. So, the typical mall, but still a great option to go and spend some time to shop.

I’ve grown up going to Penn Square. Back-​to-​school shopping at the Gap, hanging out with friends in the Food Court, even working there for a while in college, though that was short lived. Apparently when your manager says, «If you’ve got time to lean, you’ve got time to clean,» one should not respond with whatever smartass rhyme I came up with, which got me disciplined and eventually fired. Firing me was probably the right choice.
But lately, this mall seems to be making some not-​so-​great decisions. Getting rid of Pottery Barn kids to make way for a terrifyingly large Forever 21? Never fixing the bathroom at the Pottery Barn? Cluttering every single median with more and more annoying kiosks, selling everything from junk purses to skin care of a questionable origin to crappy toys? Mustangs in the middle of the already-​crowded walkways, their windows smudged by a hundred greasy foreheads and grimy hands?
This may be Oklahoma City’s nicest mall, but that makes me sad for Oklahoma City. You know what I want? I want upscale. I want Sax Fifth Avenue and a big MAC. I want a big, beautiful Williams-​Sonoma and a huge Banana Republic. I want Crane and Tiffany. I want something worth aspiring to. I want to WANT to spend my money here, I want to WANT to linger here. Instead, I make my purposes as quickly as possible, try to slip in and slip out without having to brave the gross food court to find the one working ladies’ room. I want planters and trees. If I can’t have Kansas City’s Plaza or Tulsa’s Utica Square, then I want Dallas’ Northpark. I want Seattle’s Pacific Place.
I definitely don’t want a Windows store (who thought that was a a good idea after an $ 80M write down on Surface tablets)? I don’t want to be afraid I’ll be hit by the kids throwing splatter balls at windows to try and sell some dumb toy by the escalator. It’s as if no one at Simon has ever heard of branding, or marketing to the types of customers you want to attract, or appealing to our more grown-​up, more aspirational selves.
