Nancy’s 57th Street Lighthhouse

Cheap and strong booze, interesting crowd, and karaōke! What more could you want?
Word to the wise: No cursing during karaōke or you’ll get booted off stage.

Upping my review because after all the fun I had at Nancy’s recently, 3 stars is just mean.
I think I like Nancy’s so much because it reminds me of Vegas. Not the glamorous, glitzy version of Vegas, mind you. The version where funky chandeliers adorn the ceiling, lots of drunk people, cigarette after cigarette, drink after drink, dimly lit, and did I mention the lots of drunk people? I have a soft spot for it, I suppose.
The things that make Nancy’s awesome: it’s inexpensive (several drinks only set me back about $ 20), the karaōke, and while yes, they allow smoking, their ventilation is actually pretty decent. I didn’t feel like I came home smelling like an ashtray at all! The karaōke is excellently fun even if you’re terribly bad at it. That’s ok. No one at Nancy’s judges, and if they do, they can take a hike.
Like Maggie F., karaōke at Nancy’s is definitely once-​in-​a-​while for me, but out of all the things to do in OKC on a Friday night, it’s one of my favorites.

Oh, Nancy’s. You have my heart. Nancy’s is definitely a once-​in-​a-​while place. I compare it to Groovy’s — so so so many types of different people in one place that makes for a REALLY fun time, but I’d get way worn out if I went every weekend or something. They do karaōke every night, which as you can guess, becomes entertaining quickly. Singers range from serious aspiring stars looking for their big break to drunk 20-​somethings. It’s a great time and perfect for wanting to go out for a good time for a special occasion. You won’t be disappointed!

Service was great, drinks were fair priced and solid pours.
Karaōke brings out something incredibly obnoxious in me. I get drunk, invade peoples personal space, sing way too loudly and turn any song in to a duet.
Nancy’s did not let me down in my quest of total personal space annihilation, drunken tomfoolery and interloping on the vocal career aspirations of the common people. Granted, I went there already drunken, Nancys had no problem peeing in the river I was drowning in. Always appreciated.
As for the singing goes, I give myself a solid 5 stars. I’m pretty sure I saw some people glaring at me as they left, but haters gonna hate. It’s a hard life when you sing this pretty.

Worst experience of my entire life. Went here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and the bartender was extremely rude to us. A member of our party, who was of age, entered the bar without her ID and the bartender accused our entire group of attempting to commit a felony. He cursed us out, grabbed the drink (that I paid for) out my hand and told us to leave. When we asked to speak to the general manger the bartender became extremely hostile and more aggressive. My group and I kept our composure and needless to say I will never go back! I know the liquor laws in Oklahoma and he was justified in asking her to leave but the way that he treated us was unacceptable and extremely unprofessional.

The late night karaōke is alright, with not enough waitresses, but early is a different story! I saw some review complain about the nachos. yeah, they suck. You gotta know what to order! The bar sampler has great fried foods. The main entrees are great. Salmon. Chicken fried steak. Salads. Wow! Prices are right too.
This is a place where the bartenders know you by name and remember you. It feels like home here

Do not look at this bar like a karaōke bar. Unless you are a regular, the karaōke hosts will not let you or anyone in your party sing… ever. You will get skipped every time… the drinks are not cheap. It’s not worth it…

Great food! For a smokey neighborhood bar they have surprisingly good food, at the right price. Eat at the bar! Chicken fried steak is the best in town, with gourmet mashed potatoes, fresh green beans sautéed in butter, appropriately seasoned. Nancy’s Salad is the best side salad to pair with your meal.
Affordable burgers. Good sandwiches. Homemade dressings. And I love the Bar Sampler if you are looking for typical bar-​fair fried foods. (This is the ONLY appetizer I recommend, and it isn’t even on the appetizer list, but listed separate on the menu. Also steer clear of the nachos).
Other favorites are the Chicken Caesar Salad, Salmon entrée, the meatloaf special if they have it, and all the vegetables, which are fresh and properly seasoned. From time to time, they also have homemade potato chips. They do a lot of catering, and I think this is why the food is so darned good for a bar scene.
Menu is clunky and needs to be reworked, but the bartender will help you navigate through it. Also late at night, there are not enough servers and it can be tricky getting good service. Try to sit at the bar. About 9pm the Karaōke begins. It can be quite entertaining, but also fills up and can get quite smokey. The earlier the better for this non-​smoker!

Worst service ever! Sat there for 30 minutes with no waitress. Went up to bar and bartender looked at us twice and walked away. They were busy but not THAT busy. Karaōke is good and the DJ is amazing. Just don’t go for the service CUZ they have serious attitude problems.
Won’t be back.

i used to like coming here but i got tired of how overcrowded it gets every single night of the week. they have karaōke every night and it’s mostly the same people all 7 nights. there also tends to be a huge line to sing no matter what night it is. while waiting to sing and want a drink to pass the time, you will end up spending alot. even the domestic beers are pricey. they do serve food but i always eat before going out so i haven’t tried any of it.
one wierd thing about this bar is you can’t use any swear words, not even in songs you’re singing. i have never heard of a bar where you can’t curse.

The first time I went here I didn’t have the greatest experience, but I recently went to their karaōke night on Sunday and had a blast. Drink prices weren’t that bad either. Had fun and wasn’t expensive, cant beat that and no cover!

I’ve been here several times with friends who like to karaōke. I don’t sing so I always just sit and watch, which is still a good time but would be better if I could at least get a buzz. The service here always sucks and it’s too overpriced. My last visit was on a Wednesday night, the place was packed and they had one waitress, so it took forever to get our drinks. I spent $ 45 and couldn’t even get a buzz going.
I’ve also been there the last 2 years for NYE. I won’t go again. It’s dead. Literally. There was hardly anyone there besides the group I came with and the ones that were there were old, like retirement age old. Not my kinda crowd. The NYE buffet is pretty good, but it wasn’t worth $ 40, which is how much it cost to get in for NYE and the champagne they serve at midnight is gross.
I go here because my friends like to karaōke and I guess there aren’t too many places that do it. I wouldn’t come here if it was my choice.
On the plus side they did finally get rid of the raging bitch that used to be the waitress there, or at least she hasn’t been there the last few times I’ve went, but they don’t have enough staff in general. One waitress and one bartender is not enough.

This is a biased review based solely upon the good times I’ve had here and the karaōke. Okay, apparently you can eat here? I know nothing of the sorts.
I’ve only ever been to Nancy’s for cocktails and karaōke. And might I say, I’ve spent some of my best nights in OKC here.
The drinks are strong and the service is relatively slow, but worthwhile. It’s smoky and you’re guaranteed to hear some pretty ridiculous renditions of once-​great songs.
But it’s seriously the best time. Not sure if it’s the unique chandelier that watches over the places, the nautical theme, or the fun circus mirrors in the hallway to the bathroom, but the experience of Nancy’s is a «must do» of Oklahoma City.

Nancy’s is fun with a few friends who want to sing. The staff is pretty attentive and never leave you wanted for anything. The karaōke is always going and people really seem to have a great time singing here. If you like to sing it is great. The beer is over priced and the place kinda has a little bit of a dingy feel to it. Otherwise it is not bad. I have never had a bad time at Nancy’s.

I love the bartenders, the atmosphere, the food, the drinks, the comfy chairs… actually, the only thing I don’t like about Nancy’s is the karaōke but its okay because their awesomeness makes up for the terrible (and LOUD) singing. Sadness, karaōke is every night, but fear not: it doesn’t start until 8:00 or 9:00 so you can enjoy everything they have to offer before the obnoxious bellowing of country music songs begins.
Even if you aren’t looking to do any drinking, they have delicious food (my friend says they have the best hamburger in Oklahoma City) with a separate non-​smoking room, and they are open for lunch!

Just what I’m looking for in a karaōke bar: décor straight out of the 70s, multigenerational crowd, and probably the biggest songbook I’ve ever seen anywhere. The other reviews say this place is short staffed, but I don’t know what they’re talking about. We had a very attentive waitress, and all drinks are paid for as you go, so I don’t see how you could have to wait for your check. Maybe things have changed…

I have only been to this place twice but i had a very good time. The first time I went, they were short staffed and it took forever to get my drinks but the second time was much better. They have really great karaōke with a very big selection.
