Myriad Botanical Gardens

Oklahoma City’s Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of the coolest places I’ve ever visited. The plants, the architecture… there are not enough superlatives to describe it. Amazing comes close.
If you are in the area, this is a MUST SEE. And plan to spend half a day here — it’s a perfect place to read a book, paint/​draw, or just relax.

Wow! Fantastic orchids and many other species of flowers. Great for a family outing. Would love to come back here.

This little hidden gem was pretty awesome! We had found them online and figured why not? on our trip to Oklahoma City.
For $ 7 pp, I thought it was well worth the price. The inside was well cared for– however VERY warm if you have a problem with heat. Keep in mind we were sweating and it was in the 50s outside at the end of December.
Make sure you have your camera– great photo ops! Parking is also very easy to acquire.
Lastly, we loved the grounds outside the inside garden. It was free and well landscaped. The ducks were all over — and very eager to come up to you for food whether you had it or not.
Two thumbs up, a must see when visiting the city!

Christmas lights display is always nice for the family. We drove down there on Christmas Eve and got a great parking spot on Reno across from Myriad. The flashing street lights, decorations on the trees and the display at the base of the Devon Tower is awesome. It’s not like the street lights back in Manhattan, NY, but OKC does a good job.

This area was chill as all get out. The grounds are heavily landscaped and forested, with some nice Fall colors this time of year. There’s a nice river running through the gardens, which were a little dormant, but that I can only imagine look heavenly in the Spring. The Crystal Bridge features many tropical flora, and has a number of levels and walkways to it. Everything was very well done, and very pleasing to stroll around in. There’s a large children’s play area, and while I have no children of my own yet, it’s still nice to walk along to little kids having a good time. All in all, it’s just a very relaxing and very zen area. I would say it’s one of my personal favorite places in OKC. Not to mention excellent views of the cool Devon Energy Tower.

Great place to take your family, or a date night with the significant other. Plenty to look at packed into a small area, but we found that one walk through was enough for us.

By far on of the BEST places in OKC. The slash pad and playground are amazing! There are many events held here during the year and I have always enjoyed every single one at this location. They playground has special themes during the year and my children and I have always enjoyed that as well. They do charge a fee to enter the playground when they have special themes but other than those times it is free and quite possibly the coolest playground I have ever seen. In the summer my kids can spend hours in the splash pad and playground and it is all free!

Such a beautiful green space in downtown OKC! The water fountains are plentiful, healthy fish, amazing gardens that thrive in this Oklahoma weather, plenty of shaded park benches for a picnic lunch, cute dog park, trails and fun kids playground.
I love the variety of events hosted by the gardens! They have lunch and learns and weekend educational events for those looking to gain more knowledge. Great park and concert stages for local events, movies in the park, arts festival, ect.
They have events, activities and scenery for all ages! Love this Gardens green space!

if you are visiting Oklahoma City or even live there definitely visit the myriad botanical gardens. The planets are well kept, landscape is beautiful and it’s just a nice place to go. Even without admission walking outside the garden is an experience itself.

The Myriad Gardens are absolutely stunning. The landscaping is beautiful and they have so much to offer you, especially in the summer. They usually have free movies playing or yoga in the gardens, so it’s a wonderful place to take family and children or even a date.

Places like this make me consider moving out here. It’s downtown OKC and they have a wonderful water park. If you stay long enough it will put on a show for you complete with sounds and water shapes. I love watching the niece and nephews play here. If you walk around the area you will find a little river and a large park. The park often has an outdoor screen set up to watch movies or cat videos on youtube. I can see more and more that this is going to be the happening place to be.

Myriad is lovely, even during this time of year when it’s blazing hot outside. It’s on the small side compared to other botanical gardens I’ve visited, but the landscaping is gorgeous with plenty of activities to do to make up for it. Parking is a bit annoying, but that’s downtown for ya.
Sis and I stopped by for a jaunt and we were in and out in 20 minutes. Granted, we didn’t pay to get into the Crystal Bridge, so it probably would’ve been longer had we done so. With Ice House and Park House in the proximity, it’s definitely suited for a bite to eat and a walk around the park.

Why isn’t this the city center? What a fantastic place. We’ve gone to many many events here and it’s always great. The Peace, Love and Goodwill festival is not to be missed and the children’s garden is always a hit. During the summer they have a splash pad and during the winter it’s ice skating time. Oh yeah, there’s also trees, shrubbery, flowers and the such.

Myriad Gardens has so much to offer along with the beautiful landscaping. I really enjoy going to their community events, especially the free barre3 classes. They also have a lot of perks for members like free yoga, free entrance to their fall and spring festivals and much more. I recently volunteered for the spring festival and I love how each year the theme is based off of a children’s book. They completely transform the children’s garden to reflect the book. This year is Charlotte’s Web and you’d be amazed at the creativity of the exhibit! So many activities.
They also have their concert series and free movie nights in the summertime. The Myriad Gardens has something for everyone and always has new, fun things to do. It’s a must visit in OKC!

We didn’t even bother to enter this place because of the admission. We have a party of 4, and 2 of us are seniors and 1 student. The admissions are $ 29 for all 4. It won’t cost that much to enter Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York which they have a program called «pay as you wish». So they will let people who have difficulties paying the regular admissions enter the museum with no problem.
When I asked the lady at the front desk if they have any programs like that and she was like they would be run out of business if they do. Obviously Metropolitan Museum of Art had that program for years didn’t run out of business.

This is most certainly the best botanical garden I have ever been to. It costs about $ 8 to visit and is well worth it. The inside part of the garden is located on a bridge over a manmade waterway. There are two levels, once of which is a hanging bridge overlooking the garden from above. This offers a unique and wonderful view of the garden. It is full of waterfalls, pools, butterflies, flowers of all types, cactus, beautiful tropical plans. Amazingly well done. Spent an hour in here!

This is a fantastic place to take kids, or to spend an afternoon. My 4 year old son and I went to Myriad Botanical Gardens on a Saturday afternoon for a birthday party. The kids played in the splash pad, which has animal noises coming through the speakers. That was fun for my son, he likes animals. The party we attended was held in a sort of patio area that was near the restrooms. There was plenty of room, and the area is shaded, which protected us from the heat. There were several tables and chairs, and they were able to reserve the space, so we had it all to ourselves. I would definitely use this for a child’s birthday party, it was great.
We explored other areas as well. My son played in a play area that had lots of other kids. There are plenty of places to sit, and there is ample shade for when it is too hot. Even though we live in Norman, we will return to the Botanical Gardens for sure.

The Myriad Botanical Gardens are absolutely beautiful. They are a «Must See» whether you are visiting OKC or live here. The Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory is absolutely beautiful and eye-​catching. It is well worth the cost to roam around inside. If you are a dog person like me, you will appreciate that there is a dog park here! It’s always great to have places to go where you can bring the pups.
There is an amazing kids garden that is full of fun things they can climb on and explore. They will have a blast in the garden. There is also a great water pad for those hot days. They provide relief from the heat and some entertainment. If you are just wanting to walk around outside there are some nice paths, and water fixtures that really make it beautiful. OKC has done a great job with this park and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice day or evening out!

I have spent my whole life making lists of big cities that I would like to live in to get myself out of Oklahoma. But then, a several years ago, OKC began working on their MAPS project and life started to get better. Then, the Thunder came to town, and things got even better. Before I knew it I was finding reasons to stay in Oklahoma and began enjoying our great City.
One of the places that has contributed to making Oklahoma City a great place to live is the Myriad Gardens, which is situated at the base of the Devon Tower right next to the Chesapeake arena. During the summer I enjoy going to see free movies on their Great Lawn (they also have free concerts). It is so fun to bring a blanket, picnic, and enjoy the outdoors smack in the middle of downtown. In the winter and fall I enjoy walking through the gardens on our way to and from the thunder games. And in Spring it is nice to see what vegetation is blooming and to see if there are any new contributions to the duck families. I love strolling along the pond with friends and chatting while we enjoy nature. And the Gardens is a perfect place to bring a book and just relax.
Although I do not have children, I enjoy bringing my friend’s and family’s kids to the gardens to play in the children’s garden. It is the coolest park I have ever been to and I wish it had been around when I was a kid. It has big rubber boulders and craters for the kids to play on, a xylophone in the ground for kids to make music, and a big hill for them to play on. One of my favorite parts of the children’s garden is the vegetable garden. They often host story times, crafts, and gardening workshops for both kids and adults.
I look forward to the continued expansion at the Myriad Gardens and am so thankful that such a beautiful park exists in the heart of Oklahoma City. It is a place that I am proud to bring out of town visitors and show off what my home town has to offer.

I came here to see what places would be good for photographing a newly-​married couple.
It seemed an agreeable location, although I thought that it could be enhanced with some signs describing the plants used, although that may be more arboretum than botanical gardens?
Things seemed relatively well maintained and most people were respectful of the surroundings. I would worry about parents not watching their children carefully, as there are hills and water.
