The negative experience began before we reached our room. The stairs were caked with gunk, the carpets littered with trash. As we walked down the hall we were entertained by the many parties and screaming children we encountered at 12am. The further down the hall we went, the more it smelled like a urine soaked homeless man. The room was just as bad. Although the sign clearly marked our room as non-smoking, there were two ash trays and a strong smoke odor. One of the beds reeked of bleach, the other of sweat. I know it’s sweat because the sheets were so sweat stained you could see through them. It resembled a greasy burger bag. Add to that a rolled up bandaid between the cigarette burned bedspread and blanket. I called the front desk to request new bedding. After more than half an hour, the surly employee tossed a wadded up ball of laundry at me. I also requested pillow cases, which was met with a nasty reply. Needless to say, I quickly checked out and stayed at a hotel further down the street.

While my experience here was negative, I will say the lady at check in was nice. As far as the room goes, it was a mess. The bathroom door had no knob or door lock, and appeared to have been kicked in. There was trash on the floor and the curtains were stained and dirty. The beds were overall comfortable and clean. The mini fridge made a terrible noise and then heater barely worked. The place was full of loud obnoxious patrons that had no regard for other guests or sleep… next time I will research a bit more before stopping anywhere near a location like this.
