McGovern Education Group was created when a group of independent school administrators, college guidance counselors, and teachers came into a room and decided to change everything we know about the college application process and student placement services.

Meet the Business Owner

Greg R.

Business Owner

Before moving to Oklahoma City in 2014, I served as Head of Upper and Middle Schools at Gaston Day School in Gastonia, NC. I was previously the Chair of English for nine years and taught AP Literature, American Literature, and British Literature.

In 2005, I was named Gaston Day School Teacher of the Year. In 2010, I was named Gaston Day School Yearbook Dedicatee.

I was recently published by the National Association of Independent Schools for an article entitled, «Ten Things I Wish Could Tell My Younger Self about Teaching.»

I have a BA in English and a MA in Literature.
