Yes, yes, I’m aware. Why would anyone possibly review a McDonald’s? Well shut up and listen. Or read. Or whatever. I don’t expect much really. Just consistent food-like stuff for a low price. Well this time, I didn’t even want the low quality food. I wanted a $ 1 drink. So I ordered a $ 1 drink at the drive-thru. Then I pulled up to the first window. The supervisor/manager(I’m assuming because of the outfit) swipes my card without telling me the total and hands me a receipt. $ 8.76. Wait, what? I ordered a drink… She asks to see the receipt, tells me that I had the wrong receipt and swipes my card again. I don’t believe her so I ask to see both receipts, and lo and behold, it’s my card number on both receipts. She says it’s just an error and not to worry about. Well I’m sorry if I don’t take your word for it. Let me just go ahead and check my mobile banking app… Well what do you know, my bank is telling me that you charged me $ 8.76 in addition to the $ 1.08. The stupefied look on her face would have been amusing if I wasn’t annoyed. The stupefied look stayed for the next 15 minutes while she tried to refund me my money. Am I the only one who finds it ridiculous that an attempt to get a $ 1 drink led to the drive-thru shutting down for 15 minutes? Supposedly I’m getting a refund. It’s been a few days now. There’s no sign that the refund is coming, although the $ 8.76 sale transaction has cleared. I’ve called them multiple times to get it fixed. Each and every time(if the phone gets picked up), it’s a different person claiming to be the manager. When I ask them for my money back, they say the«real» manager will have to call me back. No call back. No money back. I’ve contacted my bank to dispute the charge. I’m aware that it’s only $ 8.76, but like hell I’m about to pay $ 8.76 for a super-sized order of incompetence and a side-order of time-waste especially when you make me pay an additional $ 1.08 for the drink. Edit(Aug 27, 2014): So a manager named Latoya has gone above and beyond her managerial duties to ensure that I got my refund. She actually called me back to let me know what was happening.
