Blu VIP Party at the Devon Boathouse

This party was cool.
Plenty of food and drink, lots of people, great live music, amazing face painter, and wonderful desserts.
I didn’t really pay attention to the races, and it was a tad chilly, but with the right people, it’s a good event for a good cause.

This event consisted of food, live entertainment, blue lights, wine, racing under the lights and fireworks. Proceeds benefit youth rowing and the athletes of the OKC National High Performance Center. There was free valet parking which was very convenient. Regular parking is also free so don’t let anyone try to scam you… there was a girl that said a guy came up to her in the parking lot and made her pay $ 10.
I didn’t like some of the sushi that was served but there were mini burgers and fried Mac N’ Cheese that were really good. The party was on the first and second floor of the boathouse and also in a big blow up dome located outside. There was a live band that did cover songs of current hits in the dome and a DJ in the main room. You can also watch the rowers race on the water. At about 10pm there is a pretty great firework show.
The party was fun for the first 1.5 hours but after that it got repetitive. Just mingling and eating was all there was to do. It was a good experience and I’d recommend going in a big group.
