I love this place!!! I drive all the way from choctaw to get my feeder rats! The family and people that run it are very helpful and knowledgeable and can get whatever you need to care for your reptiles or add a new edition to the family.

Great reptile store. All the animals cages were clean, had enough room, and proper décor with hiding spots. So nice to see a store that adequately houses the animals rather than sticking them in a glass box with no shelter for display. Reptiles with adequate housing are much happier and much healthier. Great job!

THISPLACEISDISGUSTING and I am not kidding please do not do not go here. I will be reporting this place to animal services. It smells and I even seen dead animals in the enclosures. Ugh unorganized rude over priced disgusting pile of garbage. These animals need saving. There are plenty of other places I would go for knowledge and reptiles etc. NOTTHISPLACE.

I’ve had this fascination with reptiles ever since I was a kid. Growing up, our favorite babysitter was a punk rock skater guy who collected reptiles and even supplied one of the better reptile specialty stores in the area with unsuspecting wild caught desert animals. Every once in a while he would bring us a present from the desert or the pet shop. I have semi-fond memories of our two huge iguanas… so huge in fact we could not keep them in a cage. instead, they mostly lounged on tree branches my mom hung from the ceiling or roamed around the house getting into fights with the dogs. Their favorite food was steamed broccoli seasoned with lawrys salt and butter. More often than not, when it was on the menu for dinner they would pounce down from their perch and steal some before they were shoo’d away. This fascination with reptiles hasn’t manifested into any further reptile ownership in my adult life, but recently I’ve been toying with the idea. There comes a time in one’s adult life where you start to feel the pressure of performing the next adult task. Get married, buy a house, get a dog, have a kid or 2 or 3 or whatever… I’ve been feeling pressure to round out our family with some sort of animal dependent. But never one to follow traditional avenues I thought, the heck with a dog, why not a sweet color changing chameleon!!! After doing research on taking care of a chameleon I figured out why not a chameleon, but never the less I REALLY wanted to see one in person. The only pet store near by I could find that had a chameleon in stock was Alligator Alley. Not only do they have a chameleon in stock, but a few alligators, hissing cockroaches, monitors, skinks, iguanas, pythons… the list goes on. This place is not for the faint of heart. If you’re not a «reptile person», if bad smells bother you, probably better to wait outside. If you’re looking for an exotic pet or just want to see what exotic pet you could possibly have… don’t bother with PetSmart, just come to Alligator Alley. And I did become a reptile host today, but not for any traditional pet reasons. We’ve had a roach problem at our house and decided to try letting some geckos loose to take care of it. Fingers crossed it works better than RAID.
