Visited my old haunt while I was in town for a meeting today. Spent a lengthy yet thorough 1.5 –2 hours combing the racks to find Summer items for my 12 year old, 15 year old(who both wear adult size clothing & are growing), and myself. I scored a huge pile of goods most for amazing prices thanks to Summer clearance racks. Notable finds are the free people blouse I nabbed($ 13), a brand new plum colored The Sak leather Crossbody purse($ 26), Lucky brand jeans ankle length($ 2), a very stylish silk blouse, a couple of work worthy dresses(each around $ 10), a gorgeous and unique Wali Crossbody leather bag($ 9), Dansko shoes, and much more! This place was my go to for affordable career wear when I first finished graduate school & didn’t have a lot of money. Staff customer service has always been adequate to good… today they were exceptionally friendly perhaps because I shared I am a longtime returning customer & I purchased more than average. Thanks again The Second Time Around!

Run! The staff is terribly rude and crass, maybe why they always have a hiring sign and are short staffed! I thought maybe it was just a fluke so I visited a few times but these people are just downright awful. I will never visit again!!!

Two stars because I’ve found several cute things here. Pretty good selection at fair prices for good quality second hand. But low score because their customer service SUCKS. I’ve been in several times, and gotten a huge cold shoulder from various employees. I’ve blown it off to them having a bad day but after the fifth visit it’s not a fluke, it’s how it is here. There is one girl who works at night who is pleasant. But all the resort of the clerks stand and stare at you behind the counter that’s directly in front of the door. You can’t miss the opportunity for eye contact so the«Hi!» And NO response is particularly cold. I came in today w my kids because I had to check on something they needed. I got our items and went to check out and the two that were there were so blatantly rude I couldn’t believe it. I made a point to attempt eye contact and both the male and female did all they could to avoid my gaze, staring at the counter instead. Not even a smirk. WTF?! My kids are active, but they were by no means acting badly. Thanks for repeatedly making me feel unwelcome, even though I’ve spent a lot of money at your store. I’ll go elsewhere thank you.

I buy all my kids clothes here. There are in great condition and priced right. I highly recommend checking it out.

Great for buyers, mediocre for sellers. The shop is huge and meticulously organized, so it’s easy to find the clothes you want. Everything is usually in great condition and the prices are dirt cheap — especially if you want until several weeks after the item was brought in. Unfortunately, I have bought items only to notice later that they were stained — inspect clothes carefully before you check out! Selling via consignment at Second Time Around will earn you a few bucks, but it’s a royal pain. As they clearly state, they will not accept anything with even a hint of wear(stains, tears, etc.). That’s a good policy, but they also insist that everything be neatly pressed an in-season. The staff are always friendly, but they’re incredibly picky. I iron everything I bring in and try to pick out items that are appropriate for the weather, but they always reject at least 2⁄3 of what I bring in. They’re only open for consignment on special hours and, if they’re busy, you might have to wait an hour or more while they inspect your clothes. Amazingly, most of what they accept does seem to sell. You can get a very fair amount of money for your clothes through consignment here, but it’s so much of a hassle that I usually just donate my old clothes.

Less to choose from this Christmas visit. I still bought ~$ 40 worth of shirts, but the men’s pants and other clothing selection was somewhat scant. No sport coats or jackets, really. Regardless, a must visit if you’re in the area.

I stopped into 2nd Time Around yesterday to look for a sundress(does ANYONE make sundresses anymore? I mean the old school flowery deals, I particularly want a white ruffly one with big ass yellow flowers) and while I didn’t find the sundress I wanted(or any sundresses) there were a ton of absofab skirts. I didn’t make it over to the tops and stuff, but prices were decent — everything I looked at was under $ 20, including a like-new DKNY skirt. I’m into highbrow fashion at lowbrow prices, so thrift/consignment deals like 2nd time around definitely flip my poodle skirt.
