Meridian Winds Band Instrument Service and Sales

Recently, I decided that I needed to get a new trombone. I checked the big-​box internet behemoths but, on the advice of a fellow trombonist, decided to go to this store. Thanks, friend. The staff (Eric and Greg) are very knowledgeable. The price of my instrument with state sales tax beat all of the internet prices without tax! There are plenty of accessories (mutes, mouthpieces, etc.) for brass and reed players alike. Best of all, Eric, Greg and the staff are musicians who know their stuff. Eric, in particular, even co-​invented a system for removing dents from instruments!
I’m sorry if this sounds like an advertisement but I was really impressed by Meridian Winds. Once upon a time, there were more stores like this closer to Detroit catering to professional and high-​level amateur wind players. Most of them are shuttered now. Folks in the Lansing area are lucky enough to have this place and, for my money, it’s worth the drive from Detroit for an instrument purchase or major repair.
