Sat down to a dirty table and the waitress took a long time time to clean the table and give us menus. She didn’t even take our drink order at that time and didn’t bring our drinks until just before she brought the food. In fact we didn’t see her at all till then. She brought the food one plate at a time and forgot one of our party and he had to wait again for his meal. It took almost 2 hours to have lunch. We did get the bill quickly. The burger was good but skimpy on the fries. I’m giving it a 2 star for the food only. The service sucks.

Love the owner. Great food. A lot of choices on the menu. Nice atmosphere. It’s very relaxed and quiet.

Well, nice staff.
We went on the prime rib nite at 6:45. They sold out of beef by 5 pm. They were so overrun that when we arrived they had no clean pots, dishes or tables.
So we left. Tried again the following week and got the hamburger special, home made burger and frozen fries for $ 1.99!
Burger was ok, fries so so.

We went there as a group of more than 20, with reservation. They only have 2 servers for the whole place and very uncoordinated. The salad bar was mess, not filled up and no plates avail. I ordered the combination fried platter, it was good except for the soggy frog legs. The okee burger has a good taste to it. The food took forever to be served and our host just canceled hers.

This may be a good place to eat but WE may never find that out… we never got our food. Yes we walked out and I feel bad for our poor waitress because she was doing a great job serving THE WHOLE DINER. My daughter and I were really hungry and live close by so we decided to try the «famous Okeeburger». we we’re seated right away but we had to leave after 45min waiting for 1 appetizer and 1 Okeeburger. We apologized and stated that it was «too long of a wait». I don’t know if there will be a next time.

Okee Burger, is a must… single patty is plenty. I took half home for $ 8. My wife got the fish sandwich grilled… fantastic… Hey it is a dive, but a must stop at.
Just don’t get the salad bar or any buffet if offered.

Okee Burger all the way, with everything and extra sauce. small, homey, and simple, with kind and patient wait staff. My son loves the skunk ape burger. Give the sweet potatoes fries a try. We bring every one that visits to this restaurant.

Stopped in to try the world famous Okee Burger. It is definitely a one of a kind burger and worth it! It’s big, so you can share it. Will come back here the next time we’re in town.

The location: nice little place right next to okeechobee, off the main road.
The interior: clean and country, the sweet smell of bacon cooking in the back as you walk in the front door was epic.
The service: Karen was our server, she greeted us promptly and got out drink orders right away. She suggested «the ditch» bacon, 3 eggs, grits, and biscuits and gravy for $ 6.95. When we left she gave us to go menus for next time and suggested To-​go drinks and the signature okeeburger.
The menu: breakfast and lunch, most items are under $ 10 and generous portions.
Had a great time and it’s a great place, stop by and see for yourself.

We had the hand battered fried shrimp, the homemade hamburger, the fried grouper, the kid’s mini hamburgers, and the kid’s spaghetti. Everybody loved all of our food. Taste and preparation was excellent. The service was good. The prices are cheep (under $ 10). A family of 5 ate for $ 36 before tip (but most of us just had water to drink). I’d eat here again… The salad bar, however, was weak. Don’t go there for a salad. Beer/​wine selection is limited. The décor is old. The bathrooms are very old, and small. I’m not particular about décor, so yeah, I’d eat here again.
