The Rotary Club of Ojai-West’s major fund-​raiser, the Ojai Wine Festival is held annually on the 2^nd Sunday in June. Over 4300 people are expected at beautiful Lake Casitas on Sunday, June 10^th to celebrate its 26^th year as one of southern California’s most beloved wine festivals! Over 60 wineries & 20 breweries participate in this grand tasting. Funds raised from this event are used for charitable purposes. Our club has raised and donated more than $ 860,000 to — our young, our seniors, our public schools and community as a whole. The long lists of programs that we have created provide key support to our area and Rotary International projects. The Rotary Club of Ojai-​West is conducting Educational Boat Tours on Lake Casitas. We are providing this floating classroom free to our local public schools. Classes cover our area’s rich history, our local flora and fauna, and present the importance of water conservation and protecting our watershed. For more info go to www​.ojairo​tary​west​.org.

Established in 1987.

For 26 years the Rotary Club of Ojai-​West has been putting on their annual wine festival. Each year it gets bigger and better. We had a record breaking 60 wineries attend last year pouring more than 250 wines. Over 4300 people attend our event at beautiful Lake Casitas in the Ojai Valley. Event activities include a silent wine auction, 2 live bands, dancing, food & craft vendors & free boat rides. General and VIP admission tickets are available. With a premium priced VIP ticket, you can enjoy the exclusive VIP Lounge which takes advantage of the lovely lake view with hors d’oeuvres and boutique wines as well as micro-​brews by the glass. Every year we have award winning wineries attending like Michael-​David, Brander Vineyards, Alma Rosa, Robert Hall, Wild Horse, Calcareous, Daniel Gehrs Wines, CORE Wine Company to name just a few. Our event is a favorite of many attendees that like to come each year.

After graduating from college in York, PA, I moved to Phoenix, AZ where I began selling fine wines for AZ Distributing. I was offered a position at the Buttes of Tempe as a Beverage Supervisor where I managed the pool bar and lobby bar as well as all their beverage purchases for the resort. I was promoted to an Asst Manager in their Market Café Restaurant and trained the wait staff about wines & wrote the wine list for the Café and their fine dine restaurant. I moved from AZ to CA in 2002. Over the years I was a Bookkeeper, Payroll Manager, Accounts Payable Manager, Auditor, PTO President, VP & Treasurer and Parent Volunteer managing fundraisers for an elementary school. I started working for the Rotary Club of Ojai-​West 9 yrs ago as Winery Coordinator & Office Manager for the Ojai Wine Festival & my position grew into Executive Director of the event in 2009. I contact hundreds of wineries each year to attend our fundraising event. I manage all the facets of planning the event.
