excellent food, super cool atmosphere, friendly staff. l can’t believe the prices! so low I thought my sandwich would b small– wrong! I couldn’t finish it. Mando took it home for later, what a nice snack. recommendation; try the pastrami rueban, ’ it’s the best in the city’.

The food was amazing! The vegan burger had great texture and flavor with fresh veggies and sprouts on top. Both fries were great. My boyfriend doesn’t remember what he ordered but he said he really enjoyed it.
The owner was a little off-​putting with his comments about veganism. No matter how annoying we are, we are still a paying customer. Making a customer uncomfortable is just a poor sales tactic. He was a bit overbearing.

Not only does O-​HI Frostie have THE best BBQ bacon cheese burger (watch our Habit!) the folks who own this little restaurant are truly beautiful people. Their mission in life is serving their customers, and they love doing it.

Everyone else’s comments about being hassled by the man behind the counter is correct. He was hounding me about where exactly I was from in Los Angeles. Why did he need or want to know where in Los Angeles I was from? Food and malt shake was fine. Decent place to stop for affordable food. No restroom. You have to go next door and pay a quarter to use that toilet. Sink doesn’t have soap.

Really good burgers. Every came out fresh, hot and tasted great. Owners are also very friendly and take good care of their customers.

The food is alright, but it took them ½ hour to cook my order when there were only 2 other customers in the restaurant. That is not good.

Can’t say enough good things about this place! Great burger with a super tasty relish, amazing fries (and the biggest portion I’ve ever had!), yummy homemade ranch dressing and fry sauce, and the friendliest owner & wife duo! Definitely recommend this spot if you are in the area! Will be back :)

Great spot! We arrived just after closing on our way out of town and they opened their doors to my family of nine! Great food and very friendly owners!

Truly excellent burgers with their 60-​year-​old signature red relish, plus delicious cheesy tots and excellent ice cream. My dogs enjoyed some scraps on the shaded patio with a view of the mountains on a beautiful spring day. Highly recommended!

Hands Down! One of the juiciest Burgers I ever had in my entire life! Burgers are exploding with flavor and it packs a punch. It feels like theres a boxing match going on your mouth. Chili Cheese Fries are delicious. Huge portions! It’s massive! Great customer service fast and friendly. It’s a definite must try place.

Best corn burritos in the county!!! Great food, great price, great service. This is place is a must eatery for me and my kids. My son Loves the Cheese burgers.

So I drive a bus and happened to stop by Ojai frosties since it was close by and man did I find a Gem. The owners of this place are very fun and laid back. I walked in and felt like family. I had the Tuna melt and it was soooo good. I will be coming back here :)

I had a Living Social deal for Ojai Frostie so my husband and I stopped in yesterday and tried a variety of their things. He got fish and chips and I got the hula chicken sandwich (teriyaki chicken sandwich with pineapple). I got a Mango Go-​Go fruit smoothie and he got a vanilla malt.
Prices were reasonable and the staff was friendly and professional. You order at the counter and then someone either calls your name or brings your food to your table. Our food came out relatively quickly, though it wasn’t «fast food.» My chicken sandwich was messy (wet) but very tasty. My husband’s fried fish looked like large, frozen fish sticks that had been fried up. He wasn’t impressed, but he said he’d try a sandwich next time. We both liked our drinks and the French fries were good.
NO Credit Cards and NO public bathroom. I was sad about the no bathroom part because not only did I have to pee but I would have liked to have washed my hands after the messy sandwich. They did have a small sink near the front counter, but I was too shy to ask if I could use it.

Best salads in town hands down! Juanita and Michael are the nicest most kind hearted people. Their chefs choice salad is to die for. Fresh sprouts, carrots, apples, tomatoes, cucumbers, grilled chicken and then sprinkled with cranberries and Parmesan cheese! Yum!

So, after helping one of the owners doing something personal, she asked me to go and try out her business (o-​hi frosty) since I have never really been there, but I had been to the old o-​hi frosty.
I decided to go to try a good burger, went in there at around lunch time, and to my surprise the place was empty…
As I was looking at the menu, the owner saw me and said «Hey!», and turned around and walked away…
Now, since she was the one who told me to try her business, I expected her to help me, but no; instead I was helped by her husband, the other owner.
Now, is lunch time and I’m pretty much starving at the time. I order the famous burger, and the husband kept telling me jokes that were not funny at all.
I was really nice and told him that I was starving and I just wanted to order.
He replied: are you sure you want to order that?
Yes…
Are you sure?
Mmm. Yes I’m sure
Well I don’t think you are sure…
Well, finally I just told him I never had received such a WEIRD customer service in any place and walked out.

VEGAN BURGER!!!
My fiancé and I live in the area and we’ve had a really hard time finding any good vegan food. So excited to find this delicious, high-​quality vegan burger.
And the french fries are SO good. Cute mom & pop, 50’s style diner. Definitely a fun place to go before grocery shopping!

I’ve now eaten at this place twice. The first time I had a single hamburger and chili cheese fries. My husband ordered a double burger with chili. The burgers are big and filling. I was able to eat my burger but not the chili cheese fries. took them home and husband ate them for a snack. Today I ordered the club on sourdough grilled, OMG! DELICIOUS. I only ate half of my club, took the other half home. My husband this time ordered a single burger with bacon and avocado, he ate the whole thing and was stuffed. I have a weakness for chili cheese fries, so I did order them again, however, I know better… I ordered that to go. Excellent tasting American food!

IT’S BACK!
Same owner! The food tastes as great as it always has. Cheeseburgers, fries, onion rings, and of course, the corn burritos! It’s small on the inside but it’s heart is big. More locals need to be made aware that our O-​Hi Frostie is back on the scene. I like to sit at one of the tables they have set up outside. Always great people watching, always a great place to run into friends. Everyone I’ve told has rushed down to have some of their famous food. The service is great and the food is delicious and plentiful. I’m an Ojai native and so glad to have my Frostie back!
