Really nice people who know a heck of a lot about cars. I wish they were in Houston. They would be my mechanic.

I had a nail in my tire, I came in right as the shop was closing and Glenn was more than happy to fix the problem! He didn’t even charge me! So friendly, efficient, and excellent customer service.

The brakes on my Honda 2003 Accord were in need of repair, the shop across town could not take an appointment till 2 days later. I called Adamson’s and they immediately called me back and said to bring the car in. These guys are reliable, dependable and full of integrity. The best Customer Service in town.!! Glenn knows most of his customers on a first name basis
and it’s his attention to detail that sets his business apart. They did an excellent job on the brakes but also checked an air filter that had overlooked by a previous mechanic. We highly recommend Adamson’s they have a long history of providing the best for their Customers.

Adamson’s can be characterized as The Secret Treasure of Ojai! This last week my girlfriend and I visited beautiful Ojai for the first time to celebrate her birthday. On our way up from San Diego we stopped to get a snack and noticed a strong fuel odor near my Suburban. We concluded that it must have been the Ford SUV nearby and not my Chevy stinking things up :-). Well… Upon our arrival in Ojai the fumes were strong and there was no Ford anywhere near us to blame :-(. I found Adamson’s on Unilocal and decided to take a «chance» on this repair business that scored 5.0 from 30+ reviewers. I was first greeted by Kim (she runs the front office) who noted they were stacked up but she would get Glenn (the owner) to see what he could do to fit us in. Glenn came out and spent a good 15 minutes with me getting the rundown on my problem Suburban and getting to know me as a person. He committed to fitting me in, noting that he didn’t want our celebration to be ruined. Later, after he diagnosed the problem, he went out of his way not to call me while we were having dinner at Suzanne’s. He called later, gave me the good news that he was able to resolve the problem AND at a very fair price. When we picked up the Suburban later my girlfriend noted how sincere and friendly Glenn and Kim are. Adamson’s IS the ticket when one’s vehicle needs to be serviced!!!

Adamson’s Automotive came to my rescue! They had a can-​do attitude when I needed that most — after I crashed my car on black ice. The tow truck operator was kind and knowledgeable. He took my car to the shop in Ojai, and they treated me respectfully as they found time to look my car over, and eventually send me on my way.

Adamson’s has a tradition through the generation’s of superlative service at reasonable rates. I always look forward to having my vehicles serviced here, because I know things will be done correctly. They take great pride in their service, and do it with courtesy and a smile. There is only one problem with going here: You will not ever want to take your car anywhere else!

Thought I’d give a quick update since it’s been 2 years since my post — Adamson’s is still the ‘bomb’! I have told everyone about them from San Miguel to Simi!
A quick funny, I had a friend (female) visit from Paso Robles, and she told me her car needed service (aka running hot, and some brake issues) that needed service when she got home. Me — go to Adamson’s! I talked her into it, but money was tight for her. Adamson took care of her, and even gave her instructions on how her husband could fix some problems that could be delayed for a bit of time. Well Hubby didn’t find time to fix the problem (s), and on a trip to San Francisco the car died. I bet ya’ll know how that conversation went with her Hubby (chuckle)…Adamson’s said all you needed to do was…, and you didn’t do it so now the repair bill is… She and her Hubby are now diehard Adamson fans (like me)! Heck, they are now willing to drive to Ojai to get their car serviced! I hate to say this, but after one visit to Adamson’s you to will be a diehard fan also.
I really like they are Ojai’s secret, but you can’t help yourself (after the first visit) from shouting from the mountain tops they are unbelievable after being ripped off by dealerships and other repair shops (chuckle)! Who’d believe — a real, honest auto repair shop. in the towing business (Hello Separanos!)…and one you can REALLY trust! This is still the only place I will now take my car/​truck to for service — and everyone I’ve referred to them are now ‘true believers’ like me (smile).

The people at Adamsons were some of the nicest people to deal with. I came in with a minor issue on our van and they greeted me with such warm hospitality. Offering me water and a comfortable spot to sit and watch tv during the process. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

i had an oil leak issue on a bmw x3 and while it did not get resolved due to timing issues, this shop is extremely professional and the owner goes out of his way to make things right.

Thank you Glen, Kim, Ann, Miguel and Dennis for having such wonderful service and hospitality. I always feel comfortable and know that my car is in the right hands! If your looking for place to have your car serviced or fixed, this is the place for you. Just a short ride to Ojai you will not be disappointed.

5 stars doesn’t cut it! Glenn Adamson, his team of technicians and family, are the best! My car was a case study, but they were able to properly diagnose and repair my 2005 Hyundai Tucson and set me up for a safe road trip from CA to OR. They keep their shop very clean, are solution oriented, extremely professional, friendly, up-​front, timely, affordable, and communicate in detail. I will be hard pressed to find another repair shop as integrous as Adamson and can’t recommend them highly enough!

This establishment is reliable and a pleasure to bring my cars to for the past 20 years. Recently my daughter’s car began acting up at 5pm (closing time). My daughter needed to leave the following morning at 8:30am and so I called Glenn Adamson of the renowned Adamson Automotive and Towing for advice. Without hesitation he told me to bring the car in and he would take a look at it. We left the car there with the understanding that he’d have word for us in the morning or later that evening.
After not hearing for a bit, we started to think of alternate ways for my daughter to get back to the LA area. However at 8:15 we received a call from Glenn! The car was ready! One of his fantastic mechanics, Jay, had stayed late to diagnose and fix the problem. My daughter was ecstatic but all I could think of was how valuable and impressive this reliability and customer consideration is to have in any business.

I met with the owner last night. Very nice guy. Straight up no gimmicks.
Very nice waiting area too. WOW!!! what a nice shop. I thought maybe I was in the wrong building. This place is super nice and friendly. Thats for the advice and not just taking my cash. I am impressed.

I needed my car towed and Adamson was the AAA towing that arrived at my home. Rather than tow to the dealership down in Ventura I decided to have it brought back to their place to see if they could fix the car. And they did!
I cannot say enough good things about the service I received. And there was a lot to fix! Basically if it had to do with the front left tire of my car I needed a new part! Glen was great at communicating and both he and Miguel were wonderful on the phone throughout the time that they worked on my car.
I would not hesitate to recommend Adamson Automotive to anyone in or near Ojai who needs service on their car.

Wow, what a great place! The handle on a cloth bag became lodged in the trunk latch and though it would pop open it wouldn’t completely disengage so that there was only about an inch or two between the trunk door and the car body. The trunk body has a ledge and rubber lining, so it wasn’t possible to get my fingers between to reach the handle and didn’t have any tools to wedge underneath, then forward. So I found this shop online and saw the Unilocal!rating and decided to show up in something resembling calculated faith instead of searching further using the usual analysis. Miguel asked me if I could make it in the next 30 minutes. I drove over within 10 minutes and he met me himself and fixed the problem within what seemed like 3 minutes! I asked him how much it would cost and he told me not to worry about it. I’m so grateful — you see, I need to empty my car today and as this happened last night I was really stressing out about whether I could get it fixed in time.

Ok where do I start… this establishment is amazing! I am a girl yes, but I am a girl who has been around cars her whole life so I am not a dummy. I took my car here because my light came on for coolant. Thats all I needed checked. Low and behold, they work on BMW’s here… yes! Not many places work on German cars. They were a little busy but I did not mind. I told them what was going on, and was helped. One of the mechanics went out to my car with me, filled the coolant and I was on my way. I will definitely come back here if I have any troubles again!

My family is a customer of Adamson’s Auto. Whenever anyone has an automotive problem the first response is, send it to Adamson’s. An extremely friendly and helpful staff, just call in and you will see how ready they are to offer their assistance in your automotive needs. Not only has Adamson’s helped to solve my automotive problems, but they have been very helpful in the necessary maintenance that us car owners pretend do not exist. Every time I leave my car, I feel it is in the best possible hands and the work is always done professionally and in a much quicker time than expected.
Life is not about being perfect, it is about making mistakes, learning from those mistakes, and correcting those mistakes. I have been to auto shops that have lied about their mistakes, fixed them, to have them break later. I have been to shops that don’t take accountability for their actions. Adamson’s has done wonders in restoring my faith in having a quality and honest mechanic.
The last time I took my truck to Adamson’s was to have a tire repaired. They fixed the tire pulled the nail out and then walked me out to my truck and showed me how my tires had been wearing, what would be the best tires for my truck, and here is the kicker, they don’t sell tires they were just helping me to make a decision at the place they referred me to.

Just passing through Ojai for a vacation getaway, when I noticed a rattling sound above my tire. Came here bc of all the 5 star reviews. Thank the goddess for Unilocal,bc the mechanic Denis was outstanding. He looked at the car first thing in the am and fixed it for super cheap. Plus he noticed my battery was failing as my car started. I had just been to the mazda dealer in Glendale last week to get an oil change and full inspection – they missed that failing battery. The guys at adamsons are super honest, friendly and reliable. I just wish they were located in LA Where I live.

Had a dead car battery and AAA sent Gary over within 15 minutes. He was super friendly and nice and did some extra tests on the battery etc that weren’t required of him, which was really great! Fast, efficient, professional, and so friendly! Thanks Gary and Adamsons!

Awesome people! From the appointment to pick-​up, the entire staff was great! Everyone was so kind.
The waiting area is cool, smells wonderful and has a TV!
I will not go anywhere else!!!
