Only been here twice, once for breakfast sausage kolaches and once for phở.
The breakfast sausage was just a hot dog.
The phở, well, if you’ve never had phở before anywhere else in the world you might say it is pretty good here. The broth here is close but doesn’t quite catch the flavor correctly. The bowl I had tasted watered down. The only protein in my bowl was meatballs… The frozen ones from Sam’s Club. The only veggies served with it were green onions and a dried out lime wedge.

Delicious food but they desperately need help in the kitchen. Only one cook. Clearly the customer base is large enough to bring at least one more person onboard. I saw 3 customers leave because after waiting for 5 minutes, their order had not been taken. The food is still good and the 2 staff are very friendly.

This place is great the owners are really nice and the food is really good. The kolaches are huge and delicious, and they have a large selection of food and drinks. My family really liked the place and plan to return on a regular basis. Definitely eat in the restaurant befor you do drive through to get an idea of all they have to offer.

45 Mint is Dallas is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the US. This place is second, and thats no small accomplishment. Its a mixture of Vietnamese and Cambodian dishes, plus donuts for dessert! The phở (#8) is amazing. Perfect balance in the broth, just wish they let you add your own veg. I prefer a bit more mint and spice in mine. Every time I swear I’m going to try something different, but keep coming back to it. I wish cold weather would come around so I can cuddle up with a bowl of it!

It’s good
Tried their phở soup & their breakfast croissants @ they are the bomb! I haven’t tried the donuts but I’m sure they’re ok, now this place don’t look like much but trust me… it is delish! You won’t be disappointed @ all. The price is what you expect for this area, over priced lol But the food is delish. You will not leave disappointed.

Was so excited to find this hidden token! Always come in for their Phở. The broth has such great flavor, very comparable and almost better than our favorite Phở places in Dallas. Have been here only twice, have not ventured out to other menu items, but will be returning soon. We did try their Thai Tea slush, I was hoping they’d have boba, but only the jellies. In terms of flavor, I probably wouldn’t order again. It was very thick, and extremely sweet, I’ll just stick to the food!

I’m from many places Orlando, Austin, Germany or Killeen you pick. This place makes me feel at home being an Army kid I have eaten everywhere. My best friends mom is from Cambodia and this food is better then hers. The phở is great the broth is very clean, do wish I could add the veggies myself. Now if someone would open a Korean bbq joint hear it would be awesome. I would kill for some bulgogi!

Phở soup is very good but the sandwiches are very greasy. Always eat here. Owner is friendly and sometimes chat with us if not busy. Only thing, they close at 3:00 PM. Could have been better if they close late. Probably more customers after 3:00 pm.

I am SO happy something like this exists here in Midland/​Odessa! I’ve lived here for 2 years now and only found out about Odessa Donut a week ago. Eager to try it, I went in today and tried their Beef Noodle Soup and fresh spring rolls. Both were very good! The soup had a lot of trimmings of beef, beef dumplings, bean sprouts, onion, jalapeño, green onions, cilantro, basil, and of course lime, all in a very tasty broth. Serving size was more than generous. Before leaving I grabbed a few donuts and donut holes (tried later in the day, also pretty good!). I will definitely be back!
EDIT: As for people griping about prices — the kinds of food available here in Odessa blow. I am MORE than willing to pay for good quality food in a sea of mediocrity! If you don’t think it’s worth it, don’t go! :P

Never had the donuts so I can’t judge them.
The food is Cambodian style btw. I have had the katiew (they advertise it as phở here because I don’t even think majority of the people in Odessa or Midland known what a Khmer person is or what the food is about… sadly saying). The katiev was good. Pricey from what I’m used to from being from a Khmer/​Mexican neighborhood in Philly, but it is one of a kind here. I liked it a lot. Just wished they did katiev koch (dried up Khmer noodle) because I know people would LOVE that.
I got to know the wife and how operations ran. Pretty cool stuff. A lot in relation in terms of being able to speak to them in their native Khmer tongue and knowing why they moved down from where they are previously.
The food alone is great. The environment looks like the shop belongs in Cambodia so it’s pretty Cambodian of you asked me. I’m only saying this because I know what those restaurants look like from visiting the country!

If you’re expecting typical Vietnamese phở then don’t come here. This restaurant is owned by Cambodians and the noodle soup is different but still full of flavor and a hint of sweetness. The bowl you get is reasonably big but is priced at Odessa prices so a little expensive. The lok lak is also very spicy but delicious. This is one of the only restaurants in Permian Basin that has authentic asian food and overall has great food.

Best Vietnamese I’ve had. I had the #10 Beef Lok Lak and it was sooo good. Every vegetable was fresh and crunchy. So tasty! Went at 2:00pm and they were very fast. Authentic vietnamese for sure.

As you walk up to the unsuspecting donut shop, the windows are covered with signs for frozen coffee and tea. Don’t let the name or the signs fool you: there is great Vietnamese food to be found inside. I had the Phở, Chicken Lok Lak and Thai iced coffee. The Phở was almost certainly the best in the area. There isn’t much competition, but I thought it was a good mix of good flavored broth and spice. The Lok Lak was amazing: spicy, fruity, sweet, and did I say spicy? Oh, man was it good. I can say with certainty that I’ll be back here again. The Thai coffee was strong, sweet and unnatural, couldn’t take much more than a few sips.
I’d be curious to try some other dishes, maybe even a donut. However, I know I’ll be back for the Lok Lak and Phở.
On the prices, I can agree with others that I’ve had better Vietnamese food for cheaper in other cities like LA or New Orleans. This is Odessa though and the quality for the price is better than most restaurants around here.

Pretty confusing and lackluster. Although I’m glad there’s a Vietnamese place in Odessa, like other reviewers mentioned, prices are really steep. Phở prices start at $ 8.99 and go up from there. The beef phở was served in a huge bowl but filled to half capacity. Small portions of meat and the soup was strangely sweet. For a pork and rice dish, expect to dish out (get it?) around $ 12. Not sure I’ll be back for an average meal at best for that price.
They have a variety of different types of American breakfast sandwiches. Why don’t you have bahn mi instead?
They also have a bunch of different kinds of shakes/​bubble teas. I didn’t try any this time around. And of course, they sell donuts.

This is as good as it gets here in midland/​odessa area. This is the only phở place around the area.
I had their beef phở and it was pretty decent. Flavors were okay and i cant really complain. The only thing i can say negative is the price — $ 8.99 — for that price, i can get a really good tasting phở in san francisco! But hey this is odessa and its the only phở place… Inside a donut shop… So i guess they can raise prices like that.
I tried their vietnamese sandwich and it was pretty decent too — they only had one type — the pork sandwich — i know that the Lee’s sandwiches in the bay area have a lot more selections. Price was steep too — $ 5.99 !!
