History

Established in 2008.

Maximum Performance Physical Therapy was founded in 2002 by Thomas Yates and Jon Waxham. Prior to that, both had spent years in the field and felt that their previous work settings had been unfulfilling. They desired to have a larger impact on the communities that they worked in. It was this desire that led to the creation of Maximum Performance Physical Therapy.

In early 2003 they opened the doors to their location in Laurel, Maryland. With a renewed focus to reach out into the community, and with tremendous support from the medical community in Laurel, Maximum Performance Physical Therapy grew rapidly.

In 2008 an opportunity arose to expand into the Odenton area. Jon and Tom recognized Odenton as an area that was growing steadily, and in need of physical therapy services. The Odenton location opened in August of 2008, and has been steadily growing since then.

We are pleased to have been a part of this wonderful community for almost five years!
