Hops & Vines

Nice little liquor store by the Piney Orchard development. They have a decent selection of beer, wine and liquor– though the selection is not extensive. The workers usually greet me upon walking in and ask if I need help. Prices are a little more expensive than Total Wine (couple more dollars for a 6 pack of Angry Orchard), but coming here usually saves me gas and time.

I love this liquor store. Clean and well organized with a nice selection of beers. I also like their tasting events. The staff is nice and one employee, Alan Brownstein, is the MAN! Don’t hesitate to ask him for beer recommendations.

I had a very poor customer service experience here recently. I bought a bottle of Rhone blend a few weeks ago, which was about $ 15. I opened the bottle last night, and it was obviously corked. When I tried to return the bottle, the clerk doubted that I had bought the bottle there, because I didn’t have a receipt. He asked «Did you really buy the bottle here?» How am I supposed to respond to that? «No, I go routing through garbage cans looking for nearly full bottles of obscure Rhone blend so that I can try to return it and scam you out of $ 15?» I really just wanted to exchange it for a new bottle. It’s not like it was a $ 300 bottle of Dom P. Sheesh.
It’s a real shame because the store has a decent craft beer selection and nice layout. This experience just left too bad of a taste in my mouth.

They are frequently out of stock on too many items. Although the staff is very friendly and personable, the frequency of out of stocks is just unacceptable. I am taking my business elsewhere!

On my 10 or so visits, I have received fair customer service, my 2 items frequently sold out, and promises to stock more of the items. I just went in again, asked for the same items and found they were again sold out. This staff appear to be new and are not familiar with the location or types of product and the prices are higher than most other liquor stores. If it were not for the location of Hops and Vines, I would not even consider going there again. If you want superior customer service go somewhere else.

Without a doubt the best place in the area to get craft beer. You can build your own six packs, which is nice when you want sours and double IPAs, and your wife only drinks things that are flavored like fruit and chocolate. If you need a case of domestic for the Bills game (I know Baltimore, I had to), they have that as well. Also note they have a rotating tap for growlers.
I don’t buy wine here. Wine selection is mediocre, very new world heavy and product most any respectable wine shop would have on their low-​mid tier shelf. I would say there are around 30 old world facings so if you are looking for 50 options from across the Loire I would go elsewhere.(where around here? I don’t know. Places that don’t have a 14.99 bud light 18 pack bill board slapped to their store front are far and few between)
Being in the industry, I don’t usually ask too many questions when I shop for wine and beer so I can’t comment on staff knowledge. However, I will say the few times I have asked for help in finding something specific they have bent over backwards to see if they have it, offered to order it, and have recommended something similar to it. If they know who to call to get you a case of that random limited production you had at a brewery in Vermont two weekends ago, that is all you can ask for in a good shop.

Pet friendly, people friendly, it’s clean, open, and the staff is always pleasant. My husband and I even signed up for a winery tour that Hops n Vines hosted last year. On the trip, we met the owner and his significant other and even a wine distributor. They were all fun, nice, down to earth people and it made us feel more a part of the community. They have fun craft beers and great stock of local wines & beers and tasting almost every Friday.

Fantastic selection of beer and wine. There’s also an area where you can build your own 6 pack of beer. The prices are great, the customer service is awesome, and the store is set up beautifully. I really enjoyed my time perusing in this gorgeous store!

Just recently moved to the area and had driven by this place a few times. Decided to check it out and glad I did. This is a very clean and well done location.
The staff is awesome! With having just moved to area I asked about local brews which they explained all of them and more. Also informed me about beer and wine tastings they do. This will be my go to place for all my alcohol needs from now on!

This store was recommended to me by a stranger at savage liquor store. I decided to check it out.
The location is easily accessible. You cannot miss it. Its neat store with huge selection of both beer and wine and the best part (rather unique) if you can make your own six packs of beer which is great if you are into beer tastings like me. That way you get to decided which beer you like and don’t have to waste money on beers you won’t like. I got really good chocolate stouts from there and also tried some spiced wines. The staff was really friendly and helped in finding all the chocolate stouts very patiently.
The price range is huge so depending on your budget, you can find something you will like.
Only problem I can point out is that since they have both wine and beer the selection is not very huge but its definitely huge than those on the corner local liquor stores and definitely have some unique finds.
Definitely recommend Checking the store especially to «Tasting» fans!

Tastings from a local winery, and a great selection of fall beers from regional craft breweries. Well done! Staff always greets us, which makes for an enjoyable experience. Gotta love local businesses that support other locals!

The staff is always friendly and helpful. Great place to sample a wide variety of beers using the make your own six-​pack. Atmosphere is 100% more classy than most liquor stores.

This liquor store has a cool section where you can make your own six-​pack with individual beers. I thought this was a really great idea.
However, the prices are a little high.

Fairly impressive beer selection. It’s a small, well merchandised store with good service. The booze selection is well thought out. Since it’s a small space they can’t carry everything but they do a good job for sure with their choices.
I didn’t check out the wine.

Great selection for a small place. You can find great wine, lots of beer and ciders or even specialty liquors. The guys who work here are always really friendly and I enjoy the dum dums on my way out the door! Oh and sometimes they have free wine tastings!

This is one of my favorite liquor stores in the area. Of course there are bigger liquor stores with larger selections, but this place hits all the basics and hits them well.
They have a least a handful of each type of spirit and they usually stock the good and/​or popular ones so that you don’t have to worry about getting something that won’t be good.
‘m a bourbon guy and they have a good selection of bourbons. I also enjoy a nice glass of wine from time to time and they have have basically every varietal you’d want. I’m not a beer guy, but the beer selection takes up a significant portion of their store and it makes me think that they will likely have something to satisfy your craving.
Moreover, I’ve generally found their staff to be quite knowledgeable when it comes to their stock and what they don’t have. If they don’t have something, they’ll tell you where to find it. Really good people here. I haven’t been to one, but they also hold tastings at this shop.
If you need some booze, I’d suggest coming here. I can’t say enough how much I like this place.
