I called the inquire about gutter cleaning. The lady on the phone explained that they start at $ 250 for a small single family home. I asked what it would cost for a 3000 sq ft home with a walk out basement. She was unable to tell me and said that they would have to research the home on google maps. To me that means she has to log onto zillow and see how much your house costs in order to gouge you extra.
The lady then added that cleaning down spouts is another $ 50 to $ 100. I asked her what is the reason for the excessive pricing. She explained that they are a large company and need to charge more money than a smaller business. That makes no sense. A bigger business should be able to charge less because they have the economics of scale working to help them.
Needless to say, I will keep looking for a more reasonably priced contractor.
As a side note, I noticed that there were 22 reviews on Unilocal for this business that were flagged as «Not recommended by Unilocal.» I reviewed them and found that they appear all fake as all of the reviewers had done only one review and it was a positive review just for this business. This made me very skeptical of their reviews placed on google and Facebook. It seems that they tried to inflate their customer review experience which is a poor practice. Businesses should strive to deliver great service at a reasonable price and then their customers will reward them with great reviews. But, what do I know.
I will keep looking for a more reasonably priced gutter cleaning/​roofing service in the Anne Arundel county area. Let me know if you know any.

9÷3÷2015 I resent this accusation. We serve the community we live in with honesty and quality, as proven by being voted Best Roofer the last 4 years. We have 24 other Unilocal reviews that are individual, positive reviews. These are not listed as «Recommended» for some reason, in my opinion because I don’t pay Unilocal.If you would like to speak to any one of them please let me know. They are nice people. This is the first negative review we have had on Unilocal yet it is 1 of 2 listed as «Recommended». This is not right in my opinion.
Why are you leaving negative reviews for companies that you know nothing about other than a phone call. I see you did this to Meadow Hill Wellness as well. Are you going to call the Mercedes dealer and ask for a quote on the phone and when they don’t quote you the price of a Ford you’ll write a nasty review of them? It is shameful in my opinion.
When you called here looking for a phone quote, our service manager, Meghan, tried to be helpful by asking what your address was so that she could look at the house on Google Earth or Bing Maps. It is a very easy way to quote a gutter cleaning. But instead of trying to help yourself, you’d rather be mean and write bad things about good people.

Thanks for your response. Any prospective client will see that you are like a spoiled little brat. Only a spoiled brat would take a negative comment and attempt to do personal attacks which you did to me. Tom, don’t forget, there is this little thing called «freedom of speech» and «freedom to express yourself» in America. You cannot bully people because they think you are overpriced. My review was accurate and honest — live with it!
Tom, you criticized my review of Meadow Hill Wellness claiming that I left a negative review. My review was straight up on pricing. Not everyone can afford to spend $ 292 for an Introduction to acupuncture with 2 treatments. If you would review my account some more, which I am sure you will, you will see that I also leave positive reviews. As for your comparison to shopping for a Mercedes over the phone, I am sure you can afford to blindly pay whatever a dealer asks for a car, but some of us are middle class folks who do not eat from a silver spoon like you.
Now, let’s get back to basics of business. Businesses need to start with good customer service. Megan was nice but very evasive on the phone about pricing as I described in my review. I did not feel comfortable giving my address because a company that claims to specialize in something can quote you a solid price over the phone. Megan’s quote was high and then included hidden fees — that is scary to a prospective client.
As for the other Unilocal reviews. Yes, most of your positive reviews are fake which is why they were flagged as so by Unilocal.This is not because you failed to pay Unilocal.I do not work for Unilocal.My review is correct and accurate. You are a bully and I would not want to do business with you. On the flip side, I used «Bay Area Home Services» who were able to perform gutter cleaning for straight up $ 95 not $ 300 to $ 500 like Megan was quoting me over the phone.
Tom, grow up and apologize for your bulling. You are scaring away potential customers.

I found Fichtner to be the most reliable (per BBB Ratings), well respected (Per GAF Certification), and the best value of the companies I considered. They showed up on time, and the job was completed, and cleaned up, within a day. If considering a roof (or any other Home Improvement), you owe it to yourself to give Fichtner a call and see the difference for yourself.
