Staybridge Suites Milwaukee West-Oconomowoc

I’ve stayed at the Staybridge several times for work for extended periods of time and I can honestly say I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. It’s one of the best hotels I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. The rooms are very comfortable, well kept-​up, and classy – nothing out-​dated or past its prime. All of the staff members I’ve interacted with have been polite and very helpful. Plus, the daily breakfast provided is excellent. There’s a large variety of foods and I always kind of joke that I eat a better breakfast there than when I go home. The hotel also provides appetizers and drinks Tuesdays through Thursdays in the evening which is good opportunity to relax and socialize, especially when the weather is nice and you can sit out on the patio. As others have pointed out, the only drawback seems to be that the hotel is not within walking distance of restaurants/​stores/​etc. However, it’s only a quick car ride to travel down one of Oconomowoc’s main drags, Summit Avenue, and find a variety of stores, gas stations, restaurants, and parks. I highly recommend the Staybridge.

Place was very clean the continental breakfast was great they upgraded me to a queen suite and it was very clean nice people were friendly had a nice three day stay

Excellent night stay, offered snacks which was hot dogs plump and juicy and hamburgers with all the fixings and then a breakfast, also they offered wine and beer complimentary was a nice treat. Very clean rooms, though my husband and I had to sleep in separate beds because they were doubles. Air was not consistent so many times was very hot in room.
Not near anything so you have to drive to anywhere. The downtown area is nice, lots of places to eat and walk around.

Lovely, comfortable, clean rooms. Pet friendly, Nice amenities such as free laundry, free breakfast, and free dinners 3 nights a week. For the most part, the staff is friendly. My only complaint is staff doesnt seem to communicate with each other. It took days to get housekeeping because the front desk failed to communicate my request. Other than that, no real complaints. Would definitely return if I am ever in Wisconsin again.

Nice, clean and quiet. Close to Exit 282 on I-​94, but kind of far away from all other signs of civilization.
There are some very good restaurants and bars about 3−½ miles down WI-​67, though.

Pretty good for the price. No one was at the front desk when I arrived. Tried the house phone (per the sign left at the vacant front desk). After a few rings, a hotel employee came around with another female (non hotel staff) and said «Didya want somethin’?» Wow. Room was good – could have used some better cleaning (see posted sink pic). Towels scratchy but fine. No bathtub. Bed very nice. Fairly quiet room.

Great hotel! The rooms are spacious and the dinner/​breakfast meals are pretty decent too. Nothing to write home about but decent. The gym could use some TLC for sure, nicer equipment would be great. Overall a great place to stay for a night or a week. Close to places and things to do as well.

Very nice hotel. Beds are SO SO SO comfortable. Seriously, best hotel beds ever. I did not want to get out of bed. LOL. Nicely decorated rooms, very spacious. Showers have decent water pressure (one of my biggest pet peeves are hotel showers that just trickle! Ugh!!) Tasty free breakfast. Nice happy hour Tues-​Thurs during the week with complimentary food and beer/​wine. Fitness room and pool/​hot tub are very nice as well. Excellent staff, very accommodating. Highly recommend!

Stayed here a couple weeks ago for the Kohl Football Camp in Whitewater, WI. A bit of a drive but it was the closest place available on a busy weekend.
Nice suite set up with sitting room and kitchen complete with a dishwasher, 2 burner cook top, microwave and decent size refrigerator. Bedroom separated from living room with doors. 2 separate TV’s.
You ask, «How were the beds – that’s what I really care about!» In the words of my nephew, «Awesome!» Great night sleep. We both wish we could have taken the beds home!
We had breakfast here both days. Fresh fruit, omelettes, french toast sticks, muffins etc. Good stuff! I read during the week they serve dinner for the business traveler.
The only reason they don’t get 5 stars… Charged $ 170/​night. Overpriced. Reading other reviews, it would be a great bargain for under a $ 100 or even $ 125/​night
It is a bit removed from most things, but there is a Chili’s on the other side of the freeway, but we dined at a nearby Applebee’s about 10 minutes away.

For the price, I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is hard to find a place like this for the business traveler for under 100.00. Becoming more and more of a fan of Staybridge Suites!

Ok, maybe 4.5 stars would be better, but I can’t do that, so I’m bumping them up. This place really is — as the other guy said — terrific. It’s not glamorous or over the top, but very comfortable and accommodating.
The awesome: free laundry, free happy hour dinner and drinks, movie theater, full breakfast with lots of high quality options.
The good: it’s new, room size, décor, free Internet, movie theater, pool, hot tub, fitness equipment, service.
The bad: nothing.
The only thing that’s missing is a decent radio/​ipod player in the room, so I went and bought one at the store. Also, it is very isolated. You need to drive across the freeway to get to a restaurant, the coffee shop, the grocery, etc. but it’s not far at all and it’s a cute lake community.

Have stayed here 3 – 4 times over past year or so and it’s terrific. So is the friendly staff. Everything looks and feels brand new and the location – right off I-​94 between Madison and Milwaukee – is hard to beat. The clean, spacious rooms are perfect for road warriors like me and have high end finishes including granite counter tops, comfy beds, crisp linens and flat screen TVs. Other amenities include a workout room and pool (both of which I always plan to use but haven’t yet), high speed wireless throughout and breakfast in the morning. There is also a movie theater/​lounge off the lobby with comfy leather chairs and a flatscreen for watching dvd’s. Great as a crash pad, extended stay or a home away from home. If I had another thumb, I’d give this place 3 thumbs up.

If you are in O-​whatever this place is called, stay here. It still has the new car smell, so your UV lamp won’t show much.
Close to the nearest freeway and nothing else.
