History

Established in 1973.

On Nov 15, 1973, Wally Garlock Silver Lake Shell was open for business at 224 E. Wis. Ave. in Oconomowoc. On Feb 15, 1991, we moved to its current location at 36 355 E Wis. Ave. The new business realized immediate growth beyond projections. In March of 2005, we added used vehicle sales and now specialize in late model import cars. Today, nearly 35 years of learning, progress, and hard work have culminated into Oconomowoc’s most experienced automotive service center. Employing 4 ASE master technicians, SLAC applies state-​of-​the-​art technology to provide guaranteed service under the company’s, as well as various manufacturers’ and service affiliates’ warranties. In addition to its local BBB SLAC holds memberships with the nation’s foremost automotive aftermarket leaders, including ASE, American Car Care Centers, AAA, and more. SLAC is also Oconomowoc’s top dealer in the most popular name brand tires. Wally is president and works besides his two son’s Dan & Darren.
