I’ve done business before with the Village Paint Shoppe (Benjamin Moore) in Ocoee over the years, but I have to say that I’m not impressed by my latest dealings with them.
I needed 8 gallons of 2-​base Exterior Latex Low-​Luster. Ace Hardware in Apopka had it for $ 48/​gallon. Not cheap for paint, but it’s good stuff.
I was quoted $ 48/​gallon one day by the folks at this location. The next day, when I called to see if they had 5-​gallon drums, they jumped the price up from $ 48 to $ 55/​gallon, even under my account code, with no 5 gal price break. I mentioned the previous quote and the Ace price over the phone with no response or change from the staff. That’s a $ 56 difference in price for the order.
So I got the paint from Ace, which is where I will continue to go for Benjamin Moore paints in the future.
