What an awesome rental experience renting from this company was. I rent luxury/​exotic cars everywhere I go, and this experience ranks up amongst the top. Not only did I get an excellent deal, but Charlez delivered the Mercedes S550 all the way from Oceanside California to LAX and met me right outside of the delta terminal. He was prompt and on time and communicated with me the entire time as well as before the trip. The car was in excellent condition, and the drive was extremely smooth. You can tell it was a very well maintained car. They put brand new rims on the vehicle prior to my trip, and Charlez emailed me pictures of the new wheels to let me know how they looked on the car. That is what I call outstanding customer service.
The car drop-​off was equally as easy as the pickup was. I met the office manager Victoria at union station, which was only 1.5 miles away from the sheraton downtown that I stayed the final night of my trip. I then drove to the airport with her in the car to catch my flight, then of coarse she took the car on back to Oceanside. Her communication all that morning was terrific and she was prompt and on time, and I even arrived at the airport even earlier than I was expecting to. This was a 5 star rental experience from this company, and they really cater to you when you rent from them. Communication is the main thing I look for when deciding to rent from privately owned companies, and their communication far exceeded my expectations. Also, my deposit was quickly returned to my account the very next day. I will rent from this company every time I visit LA or San Diego.

They are much cheaper than any car rental company. Victoria and the staff are very nice and helpful. I rent from Zigzagby monthly and I carry my own insurance so I only pay $ 20 – 22 dollars a day. I’m going on 3 months now with my car rental and I still would use this service. It’s a great alternative to big corporate owned rental places like Enterprise and whatnot. Plus, I don’t pay any extras for mileage. The cars have wear and tear on them but for the price, it’s worth it. I do recommend that they take their cars to a good mechanic for safety inspection. My car had a bad tire that blew out and the windshield wiper need to be replaced. It also needed an oil change but they got me into a shop within a couple days and paid it over the phone. Still I wouldn’t go anywhere else because it’s expensive.

Lets see, terrible commubication skills, no sense of customer service and frankly the worse car rental company I have ever encountered. I rented the first time last year from these guys last year and that time was great. I dealt with Glen and he was real cool and down to earth. I lost Glen’s number this time so I looked them up online and their website was the worst mobile site I’ve ever encountered, not one link on there worked right. Simon decided to give them a call and at 10:09 am 9 minutes after they’re scheduled to open their office manager Victoria wasn’t even at her office yet. So she tells me the car I wanted wasn’t available but another was and she’ll call me back in 15 minutes with the full details. Well at 2:16 pm I call the office and Charlie answers and when he realizes who I am and I tell him Victoria didn’t call back he apologizes and says he understands if I don’t want to continue with them, without even offering to rent me the car. I tell him I just want the quote because whether I like it or not I need a car because it’s for my anniversary weekend but then he tells me he can’t bring it to Temecula like they did last time. I said screw it and didn’t bother with the car. The only person worth a dam at that company is Glen, everyone else there is useless and unless I see him put an ad back up on Craigslist with his cell I won’t be going back to these guys ever again. I honestly don’t know how the company stays open if the office manager can’t even manage to make it to work on time.

I was lured to this company because I needed a cheap rental for a day. The car they gave me was falling apart but it was $ 20 a day so I wasn’t too upset. Until my total came out to about $ 130. $ 40 for the car rental and the rest for insurance. That is about as much as I would have paid with Zipcar AND they would have paid for my gas AND I would have a new car! See, I needed the car for one day which was Saturday but they were closed on Sunday so I was basically forced to rent it until Monday. I think that is ridiculous, because I didn’t use the car at all on Sunday. Then I called Monday to return the car and they said «yeah, someone is there to return your deposit» but guess what? I pull up to the office and no one is there. It was noon and they said someone won’t be there until 2. So I had to drive 25 minutes back home and come back after. This company is extremely unprofessional, I don’t know how they’re in business with the way the hustle their customers.

Don’t let the testimonials fool you below. I have had my own personal experiences most recently, and previously witnessed friends who have gone through an inexplicable amount of chaos in doing business with this company.
The cars are definitely not held to any maintenance standard and the management of this outfit seems to be via cell phone circuit and between four primaries, none of whom has a concrete answer for any arising issue (there will be many). Any business operating by the seat of their pants like this company surely will meet demise and it’s a wonder they are still open. Largely attributed to their lax rental requirements, verbal agreements (which are later recanted) and their inexpensive rates (you get what you pay for) they manage to stay open.
Charliz is the most professional of the lot but is always working an angle to add hidden fees. They have no culpability in the mechanical malfunctions or operation of their vehicles. Vehicles without proper paperwork, littered with personal belongings of previous renter, inoperable gas gauge, and REPEATED battery power and fluid and overheating issues on many vehicles.

Had a great experience using ZigZagby! I was planning on a renting a Honda Civic, it wasn’t available, so they upgraded me to a sweet BMW for the same low rate! The Car was great, and especially the customer service i received! I highly recommend this unique, affordable car sharing experience!
