Heather just competed out family photos for this year. We could not be more pleased! She was fantastic to work with from setting up location and making suggestions to the very impressive final product. She has a warm and friendly personality and makes the process feel as fun and natural as possible. Patient and creative with capturing young kids too!

We were NOT disappointed… We hired Heather at Vallentyne Photography after reading the reviews on Unilocal because we had decided to move up our wedding date and was in need of a photographer on short notice. Heather was amazing with her initial questions to establish our vision for the pictures and subsequent follow up on what we had in mind.
Heather arrived early and had such a warm and inviting way about her that we were instantly at ease in front of her and with all of her great direction and poses. I am NOT comfortable in front of a camera but she really made me feel welcome and natural. The small and intimate ceremony was captured through her lens without her even being noticed. She also took candid shots of our family and friends which really told the story of our day!
Our pictures arrived as promised and needless to say we were delighted with the final product… a beautiful pictorial of OUR special day. thank you Heather for your kindness, professionalism and creative work!!!

My husband and I used Heather for our wedding last August! I cant believe its taken me this long to write a review. Heather did an amazing job! Her and her assistant were super friendly and made us feel so comfortable. And the pictures turned out perfect! They captured every moment and I couldnt have asked for anything more. I already have recommended her to my friends and will def use Heather in the future!

Heather at Vallentyne Photography is super professional and an all around great photographer. We have never had any professional shots of our family, ever. So I was sort of nervous about what to expect in the outcome. Let’s just say, I was more than pleasantly surprised. I generally hate pictures of myself, but Heather manages to capture shots that are really lifelike and real, as opposed to fake and posed. She’s good at letting the pictures sort of happen on their own. And that I really love. Our two kids under 6 also responded well to her so that’s always a huge plus too. We were taken to 4 amazing locations, and got amazing pictures from all locations. I am using her again for a very special party we are planning next year. Vallentyne Photography was amazing to work with for my wedding on August 3 at Hotel Laguna in Laguna Beach. Heather and her assistant did an amazing job capturing great photos of the guests and every aspect of the wedding. Heather Moreau is so talented and literally captured every shot I wanted and many more. I absolutely love my photos. She was easy to work with, a good listener, and very professional. She took my pinterest board and recreated every shot I wanted and many more. We walked all-​around downtown Laguna Beach and she captured incredible photos! Vallentryne photography was our lead photographer for our wedding in La Jolla Village just a few summers ago. Wow, what a talent and so easy to work with. They showed up early, stayed late, and kept a constant smile and good vibe throughout our entire wedding day. They are a great value and we would recommend them to anyone considering hiring a professional photo crew.

We just had our little guys first birthday shoot with Heather and she is amazing! We couldn’t be happier with how awesome the photos turned out. She was very understanding and easy to work with. We can’t wait until it’s time for our next session. She has already come up with some great ideas for us.

Heather is a phenomenal photographer. She is also very easy to work with, and very discreet in a wedding setting. Her prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality, and the inclusion of all of her editing as well as all digital and hard-​copies.
Heather photographed our wedding in Feb 2008, as well as a bridal session a few days before. Both sets of photos are fantastic! Very artistic with some very unique shots, plus all of the regular shots we wanted. I loved working with her because she is level-​headed, calm, and is good at directing you to get the best shots. She had the photos completely edited and ready for us just two weeks later!
We liked our pictures so much that we hired her again a year ago to take pictures of our whole extended family at a park. Again, the photos turned out brilliantly and everyone enjoyed the session. We will be hiring her again, and I suggest you hire her too!

I wholeheartedly recommend Heather and Vallentyne Photography! Heather took our family pictures with my 2-​year old son, and I could have sworn we didn’t get any good pictures because he would not sit still! He ran all over the place, never stood in one pose for more than a second, and it was impossible to get him to calm down. I kept apologizing to Heather about my son not being able to sit still and she was so patient and kind and reaffirming, and kept telling me to «not worry about it» and «I’m getting great shots» and «he’s doing great.» When I got our proofs the following week I could not believe it … she captured so many beautiful and amazing photos of my son and our family. In fact, it was hard to pick my favorites there were so many! Heather was very tolerant and easy-​going with my son and she was able to put me at ease (but she has two young children of her own so I’m sure she understands the exasperation that comes with trying to take pictures of young kids!) If you have babies and children, I would definitely go to Heather. We have kid #2 along the way, and I can’t wait for her to take pictures of our family again.

Excellent eye for mixing photography and art! Your wedding pictures won’t be the same old boring, just like everyone else’s photos.
