Horrible horrible costumer service. I am a 5 ft tall young lady and needed help grabbing metal sheeting that was stacked extremely tight. I walked around the floor looking for associates, the two that i asked told me «no that is not my job» and didn’t offer to find me any other help so I walked up front to the pro customer service desk and asked if they could call someone for me, the lady was really nice and told me no problem. I headed back to the metal sheeting and waited 10 minutes and still no help. So I walked back to the front and asked a cashier this time if she could call someone to help me (she was really nice) so for the second time I headed back to the metal sheeting and waited. 15 minutes went by and still no help. I walk up front for a third time to costumer service and asked another person the call for someone to help me. Again walked back a third time to the metal sheeting and waited. No one ever showed up to help me. Never going back to that Home Depot again and would rather drive an extra 5 miles to not go there. This makes me not want to ever go to any of the Home Depots Horrible service everywhere I go. Shouldn’t have to ask 6 people for help and none of them could get me help.

This is a descent location, very helpful staff and well stocked store.
Out of the way for me, but not very busy, tons of easy parking and no wait to check out.
Great selection, excellent prices and tons of clearance items which always make the side isles worth checking out.
Best home improvement chain, i find myself here all the time being a homeowner and always find exactly what I need here.

Started out great and went down hill from there. Purchased tile and installation services. Quality of install substandard — grout lines a variety of sizes some tiles lower than others. Horrible customer service. Jeff manager said he would handle issue and call installer and sent me to store to pick additional material at no cost. Today installer shoes up and says we have to pay additional $ 250. I was going to let the quality of the work slide but the whole experience has lead me to customer care line and taking my other planned remodeling elsewhere

Don’t waste your time at this HD we checked yesterday on the hour’s and it said they closed at 10pm. We show up and is 9:30 pm we went the paint section and the employee was already helping another costumer. I wait and 2 employees passed by and looked at us but didn’t said a word to me if I needed any help or if I was already being helped. 9:45pm came and the lady left I ask another employee if he can send someone to the painting section to help me out. He said no because «we close at 8pm» and he walk off. We got sand paper and headed to self check out. There was buggy infront of a register and another person behind us. The employee told the people behind us thay he check out where the buggy was at. So basically another costumer cut us. Me and my husband left very upset. Worse customer service ever!!!

If you have a plumbing need talk to Steve– PM Shift He knows everything and you will be set to complete most plumbing jobs. If you can’t do the job after talking to Steve call Resurrection Plumbing in Escondido.

All the employees are friendly and helpful, espcially Luke. He is very knowledgeable and remembers where everything is. I came in for an industrial shelf project and he carefully cut all the pipes to the correct sizes. He also generously spent time into explaining how the measurements works and how to correctly assemble it altogether. He’s very knowledgeble with the pipes and while helping me, he never failed to assist other customers in the aisle. Luke took customer service to a whole new level!

I love to go to Home Depot, I can be there all day.
Team Home Depot it’s amazing they are very helpful very knowledgeable about their product and always have the best attitude with customers.

Great experience today with a project i needed some help. Spencer helped us and made us feel like he owned this hardware store himself. Employees that represent a company like this really make my shopping experience special. Home Depot has stepped up their customer relation and Spencer gets kudos from me. I’ll be back!

I really like this Home Depot. All the associates are extremely friendly. One customer even greeted me like he worked there so it must be rubbing off on some people. My only complaint would be that sometimes it’s difficult to find an associate when help is needed, especially on weekends. The associates seem to be heavily concentrated near the front of the store. Need to send a few to roam in the next row back.
The dudes who work tool rental are the best. Really awesome guys.

Avoid like the plaque. They lie, don’t stand behind their products like appliances and I found to local business that provided better value, awesome customer service and what they say or sell they stand behind. Don’t buy at Home Depot. They’re a joke!!!

I love shopping here and never had to complained about anything not until today this date at around 3 PM. I was at the garden section looking for a lattice. I found them but had a question about the pricing. So I called this young employee who just happened to be in the same Isle I was. Long story short I asked him about the pricing for the two separate and different types of lattice. He responded with «Sorry I don’t’ know. I don’t do pricing and walked away towards another employee and pretending that he was helping him out putting bags of mulch or whatever in the cart. Didn’t get this young employees name but obviously he wasn’t willing to help nor he doesn’t have the necessary knowledge. He sure is qualified for boarder line attitude. Nothing against the store but someone in the management office should consider counseling this young man.

This store had the occasional «hard» return, like the time an employee told me I had to have all my solar light boxes, but the store manager is a great guy and set things right.
I shop here a lot and think this is one of the best HD stores in SoCal.

Seldom do I take the time to complain… but where are the employees at Home Depot? So no one in the isles for advise. And when I go to check out there is «machine check out» only and one girl struggling to handle the 4 machines. So I wait in line for a machine but then the machine can’t read the label on one item and another item doesn’t have a label.
So I go complain to the three people hanging out at the service desk, they patiently listen, and check out my items because I complained. But everyone else is left to wait in line to check out at the machine. NO ONE IS CALLED TO HELP THE ONE GIRL AND ALL THE WAITING CUSTOMERS!

The students from the school across the freeway loiter at this home depot and management seems to allow it. I had my 83 year old mother with me and the students dirty language was easily heard. Thought about 1 star

Came here to buy a snow shovel and they don’t support Apple Pay even when the kiosk accepted the transaction. I had to inconveniently swipe my card.

I love shopping at this Home Depot. Their staff is professional, friendly, and helpful. With property management, remodeling, repairs, and homeownership, I am always there. They are very consumer-​oriented, great deals, innovative, helpful workshops, displays, and merchandise. If my customer service experience is poor at a store, I won’t shop there anymore or refer them. With my poor experiences at Lowe’s, I don’t buy there. Lowe’s also denied me a credit line when I needed it most. Home Depot came through and has been a life saver to me.
I put Home Depot’s customer service to a test at the Oceanside store in the beginning of March. I know about customer service with training, working retail in the past, and my own experiences. People think that being mean, threats, etc, will serve you well, WRONG. Behaving with kindness, persistence, patience, acknowledgement, these attributes will give you a positive outcome. Here is my story about their great customer service:
I purchased a compact unified washer/​dryer to install in newly designed small galley kitchen. After careful measurements, I was sure that it would work in the designated spot. There was a two month time delay to get it installed because of tragic personal events in my family. Towards the end of February, I contacted a few plumbers about installation. I was quoted some high prices to reconfigure the piping. I had to do this so it would fit in the built alcove without sticking out. It would be a white appliance sitting next to stainless steel appliances, UGH.
Anyways, I contacted Home Depot in March. Two managers said no it can’t be returned because of the expired 90 day timeline. This was even after mentioning that it was in an unopened box and uninstalled. I would have offered to bring it in the store for a refund but it weighed about 250 lbs and I ran the risk of damaging it with the move.
After contacting Customer Care and explaining my situation to representative, Chinquinka, (spelling?) who was very courteous and helpful. She arranged a phone call with the Store Manager, Juan. He authorized the return and merchandise pick-​up. With my persistence, I contacted Noël. He came by my home on Friday, ⁴⁄₁₇ and I missed him for pick-​up. I was so upset at myself for missing my window of opportunity. Some stores would say to bad, you were not there for pick-​up.
However, I called Noël and apologized several times for missing his calls and ignoring my barking dogs at the door. However, Noël said that he would fit me in this week. Noël, Jasper, and Zachary were all very kind, professional. Well, they delivered on their promise today and came by this morning around 11 a.m. to move this big box from upstairs. I will always be a loyal customer and referral source to Home Depot, especially the Oceanside location. They are great with your well-​behaved, socialized, and well-​trained assistance dogs.

Looove me some Home Depot! I wish I worked here in my younger days. I’m a first year home homeowner and have grown to love this place recently.
You can really get lost in inspiration in a place like this. They do so much that I won’t be able to review it all but have had good experiences in the depts I have been in like carpeting, tools, paint and garden.
One of the things I like about Home Depot versus other places is they offer DIY classes. For a straight builder novice like me this is huge. I’m also a very tactile learner so getting a chance to use some of the power tools and other products hands on is really helpful. Knowing what tools to use and technique is exactly what I need because for many of my personal projects that I have in my mind I simply do not know where to begin and YouTube videos just arn’t enough.
I recently took my first DIY class at this Home Depot location making a planter and I had a blast. It was a great crowd and the instructor Tom couldn’t have been better. He was very witty and friendly and good about getting everyone involved as well as answering all our questions.
The setting wasn’t in a classroom or anything but on a workbench set up in the front. It wasn’t what I was expecting but it worked just fine.
When shopping as well I find myself at least 70% of the time needing help finding what I’m looking for cause remember I’m «Mrs. Novice», but thankfully I usually find someone in an orange apron pretty quickly and they are always more than willing to help.
Yesterday a gentlemen named Ezekiel helped find all of my 3 items on my list and special ordered one of them that will be arriving in the store for me next week.
I look forward to learning more and changing from being Mrs. Novice to Mrs. Handy, thanks to the help of Home Depot and a few YouTube videos, lol!

This review is for the Home Depot tile estimate that we had for our townhome. The gentleman in the store, Mike was very nice in getting us scheduled, however from there out, the issues were great!
The time given for our estimate was from noon — 2pm. I was a little late in getting to the appointment as I do not live at the townhome, it’s a newly purchased rental and had to get there from Vista. The estimator was very upset that I was late. So, the estimate, I thought was going without issue. He said something about «something wrong with our floor» so had to check with the store and our estimate wouldn’t be ready until the next day. I still wasn’t sure what was meant by something wrong with the floor since we had pulled up all the carpet and pad and could see the subfloor on the second floor (the first floor is a concrete slab, so there were no issues there).
Day three — we get the quote and see «cannot install tile over particle board…» blah blah blah! PARTICLE BOARD my butt! We argued that we do not in fact have particle board for a subfloor, then he changed his mind and said it must be «OSB» not particle board — as stated now on the quote. I wasn’t sure what OSB was, but Googled it and it was clearly not OSB, but in fact plywood as anyone with a brain would know!!! Took a picture of the floor and actually showed it to the clerk (who was a girl) at Home Depot who confirmed, «yep, that’s plywood». So why would they send me an idiot who couldn’t tell the difference between OSB and plywood???
Second, I was being charged for toilet removal and reinstall (the toilets were already removed), pulling up the carpet and the pad (which was already removed) and the final issue — the SQUARE FOOTAGE WAS WAY OFF! We used his calculations as well as re-​measured the entire thing ourselves and found about a 300 square foot difference!
We have used Home Depot in the past and were pleased with the small tile job (about 8 years ago), but this job was upcharged and overbid. Would I use them this time, no. They have totally lost credibility with me for this or any future jobs!

My husband was a carpenter, he knew where every thing was in Home Depot. Yet he still complained about the lack of help. Like they were hiding. I used to listen to him, shake my head and walk away.
Since he died I am the fix it person now for my family. I have no knowledge of where things are.
No one ever said can I help you find any thing? What can I do for you? I had to keep trying to find some one. Then no one knew what I was looking for or bothered to ask any one else.
I find this amusing. Lowe’s new what I was looking for and they ask if I needed help. I didn’t have to say sorry for bothering you. When Jimmy could not find it, he found someone else. And wow they have a PC to look things up.
I would tell any one to avoid H.D. I have never written a bad review. But this was very upsetting to me.

This is a pretty good Home Depot because it’s hardly ever crowded which means the customer service is great. I like this HD because it’s close to my house, the employees are friendly, helpful and the prices aren’t too bad. So yes this HD is kind of out in the middle of nowhere but it works for me so I can’t complain too much. I sometimes think is it even worth it for HD to have this location because it’s so slow but anyway this HD is just like any other one. I’ve never had any problems here but the lighting in the parking lot could be a little brighter but that’s what I think. Other then that this HD is A-​ok with me.
