This place is awesome!
Men’s cuts are $ 15 and they do amazingly!
I moved to mission valley and have driven up to Oceanside just to get my haircut up there!
The one way road on mission had made it easier to get there when coming from the 5 so I’m happy!
They are right around the corner from food and fun and they even have a private parking lot.
It’s a little difficult to get out of but a parking lot none the less!

I have been getting my weekly haircuts here for 8+ years! No need to look anywhere else. Nothing but the best from the ladies at Short Cuts!

Came here as my usual barber was closed. This place had good Unilocal reviews, many stating «great price». As my last two barbers have been $ 8 – 10 for a cut, I would not agree that $ 15 at Short Cuts is «great». The stylist was friendly enough, maybe a little too friendly as it was over a 30min wait with one guy already started and only one other person ahead of me, but lots of socializing with those previous customers. So after a long time, I’m next, she cuts my hair in about 5−10min, doesn’t ask much about how I comb, what length I want the sideburns, or square/​rounded in back. Just makes her choices, leaves my hair a bit too short (and two missed spots that I have to fix when I get home). And then the unpleasant surprise at the cost of the cut at the end. There apparently is a very small sign in the back corner with prices, which I had looked for on entering and didnt see; not sure why my cut was more than the two before me who she spent considerably more time with, neither of which looked military. But hey, my hair will grow back and I’ll stick to my regular awesome barber. Oh, and the dog in the window barking incessantly every time a kid or dog passed by did not add to the experience. So long story short, it was a long wait for a mediocre cut at relatively high price. Not coming back.

Great place to get a hair cut. Friendly ladies, nice atmosphere and good prices… plus the complimentary shampoo is always refreshing. Highly recommend.

I’ve been getting my hair cut at short cuts for six years now. All the barbers are true professionals and always leave their customers with a great cut. Prices are great and you even get a free shampoo. If your a sports fan like I am they always have the games on and you can watch it on their comfortable leather couches. If your looking for a permanent barber shop I highly recommend short cuts!

But seriously, some of the chairs are not worth sitting in. I’ve had to come in more than once to have them fix my hair.

Christy is … awesome! If you want a proper military fade she’s the one to make it happen. She works on Mon/​Wed/​Thu 9 – 3 and Sun 10 – 9.
I stopped by for a haircut after a visit to the post office just around the corner and was pleasantly surprised at the AMAZING job she did on my hair. When she pulled out the comb I knew it was going to be a good fade. Sounds pretty basic, but you’ll be surprised at the number of «military barbers» that don’t use combs and you end up with a subpar cut. After 20+ years of receiving Marine cuts, I know a thing or two about good barbers.

Have been going to Short Cuts for two years now and I wouldn’t get my hair cut anywhere else. The prices are great and the girls are always friendly and do a great job. Go check them out!

Before I came to Short Cuts I’ve tried a lot of different barbers and everybody has messed up on my hair! I’ve been coming here for 11 years and never had a bad haircut! Kendra is the best

I’ve been coming to Short Cuts for 9 years faithfully — both as a Marine and civilian, and have always been so impressed with the quality of customer service from Short Cuts! The barbers are all great so you can’t go wrong with any of them — although Kendra has been my go to! Convenient parking, lots of friendly, quick & talented barbers (& they’re pretty too), clean large shop, free shampoo, TVs, comfy seating ATM machine inside and awesome prices are just some of the reasons to choose Short Cuts over any other option out there! You won’t be disappointed!

I was stoked to see this place was still here when I moved back, but not surprised considering what a great job they do. Always a good haircut, friendly barbers, and the shampoo is the best part. You can’t beat not having to go home and shower after a haircut.

I’m a civilian and I’ve been a Short Cuts customer for over 10 years! They know how to cut hair and the girls are the real deal. Great price, easily accessible, customer friendly hours, and awesome shampoo girls is the reason why I get my doo dun every week.
As my schedule changed, my barber changed. My current barber is Shannon. What a character with a great sense of humor… and she can cut it up! All the barbers are awesome. Lauren, Kendra, Mary, Stacie… the list goes on. Find your girl and git it dun. A+

3-​stars. Great hair cut, friendly enough, but way over priced. Plenty of other establishments in the area to get a great haircut for less. $ 28 for me and my son. Ouch.

Dropped in here spontaneously after visiting Breakwater for a couple pints on a Saturday afternoon. Unilocal reviews were positive so I gave them a chance.
Disclaimer: I’m 45 and mostly bald so my head isn’t so much of a challenge :P
Shannon cut my hair, used clippers, was very quick and neat. My wife approved of the results. It’s not USMC short, but it’s pretty close. Trimmed my eyebrows too, that was the first time ever, they must have needed it LOL.
Fifteen dollars for a haircut and shampoo/​scalp massage, can’t be beat. Definitely better experience than SuperCuts or whatever. It’s truly a good deal, so you should tip them well.
If you don’t like friendly and attractive young women cutting your hair, you should go elsewhere!

Have yet to have the typical Oceanside Marine haircut experience here. Nothing but a chill place without the digital backpacks and moto shirts.

This is a cool place to get a good even haircut. The place is clean and the staff are nice

2^nd Visit: Much better experience. I missed the rush and had no wait. Staff was friendly and I had good conversation during my haircut. My haircut was just how I requested. Quality was good and free shampoos.

Country music haunts me… not just when I’m sleeping, even when I’m awake. It’s YOUR FAULT I’ve had country music stuck in my head for 3 DAYS!
But alas, all I can associate with that twangy crooning in my head is Short Cuts — the barber shop where I watch my BF drop in (no appointment needed) to get his hair cut before seeing my dad, a Navy veteran. Gotta keep him cleaned up for pops! ;)
The room was filled with comfy leather couches and was lined with barber stations. He was able to get his hair cut and shampooed for $ 15 — no wait on a Saturday. I understand this place gets pretty crazy on Sundays with all of the marines getting their ears lowered, but we were in and out!
If your guy would rather beat himself in the head with a lead pipe before getting his hair cut, this is the place to go — wham, bam, thank you ma’am! He’s out before he knows it!

What a great place. Perfect hair cuts and a staff of all smokin hot chicks. Wish I could find one around the bay area. I will be getting a hair cut every time I pass through this place!

I have been going here for years for my son’s hair. I love those girls in there. They are fast with my son (thank god!) and do a great job. I really love the price! :) I will continue to keep going back.
