This place is by far the worst«Mexican» food ever!!! Not too many places to eat at Base(which by the way, I think is the ONLY reason it is still open), decided to try this place and my niece and I pretty much left all our food on the plate. Tried to eat some of it but my gosh, it was that bad! I had the beef taco with cheese enchilada and the taco was nothing but a greasy ass stale shell with greasy nasty looking so called«meat» inside. Gag!!! Enchilada didn’t even look like it was a tortilla and the cheap shredded yellow cheese was still cold! Beef enchiladas were nothing but the greasy left over fat! Disgusting!!! Now, you think they could at least save themselves with chips and salsa. But the chips were so stale we couldn’t even chew them. And the salsa tasted like salty water! What in the hell are these people still doing running a business?! Even the drinks were nasty! We tried 2 drinks and they tasted like carbonated, unflavored, dirty water!!! How can you go wrong with coke?! I mean really! And the worst part is we paid $ 25 to throw food away! Save yourself the stomachache and disappointment and go to Panda or McDonalds. Shoot, or go to Beverages buy yourself a bag of chips and a real coke and call it a day! For reals!

portions are massive. my go to meal is the carne asada fries, which is literally a whole to go container of fries, meat, cheese, tomatoes, onions, guac, and sour cream. my husband always gets the carne asada burrito. again, large portion and very filling.

Really enjoy this location. The employees are always friendly and even remember me and my favorite order! Quiet atmosphere and I enjoy eating here at least once a week. The shredded beef taco is «The» standard!

Mediocre Mexican food. They kinda overload their burritos with sour cream. Reasonable prices, clean restaurant, but just«eh» food. Nothing special.

Yeah, this place might be good in the east coast or somewhere that the only other competition is Taco Bell(actually, Taco Bell might have more flavor) but here in SoCal, home of the Mexican food, this place fails. I had the carne asada fries. Meat had no flavor and tasted like a microwave kids meal. Fries were okay, thin and crispy but cold. Beans were average, nothing to write home about. My buddy like his taco plate, but he’s black so I’m not sure how much of an expert he is on Mexican Food! LoL

We decided to grab lunch after a morning of shopping next door for groceries. The establishment is located next to Coco’s in the next shopping center from the commissary. The employees are friendly and were quick to deliver our lunch. Lots of seating in doors and there is patio seating outdoors as well. Lots of parking out front which is shared with other businesses. We ordered the 3 rolled tacos and a Cali burrito. To my surprise the 2 items came out to be $ 13. Just for my burrito, it was $ 8(extra for guac). When we got our lunch, the portions were so small! I expected my burrito to be massive for $ 8. I guess next time we are hitting up Panda Express or McDs!

We’ve been going here for almost 2 years now, but lately we have had bad experiences, just like other customers here are talking about. We love the food here, but there is this girl at the counter who has a very bad attitude. She makes you feel like you are begging for your food there. If she doesn’t like her job, then why doesn’t she quit!!! Don’t treat customers like that. It’s very unprofessional! We won’t be coming back anymore because of this.

I will give them two stars because their food is consistently great! However their front of house girls working the register are consistently terrible. Monday especially! The red head(I think she has red hair at least) was more worried about talking to the other girl than providing any type costumer service. While taking an order the other girl clocked in and she had to stop and say«hey! Omg I’m so hungry!» Before continuing to take the costumers order. While taking my order she did not greet me or even make eye contact just«is it for here or to go» then mumbled my total with out asking if I was even done ordering. When my food was done she kind of slapped my order on the counter called my number and turned around to continue talking to her friend. Very rude. I work in this industry and I was very disappointed in her lack of just doing her job. She also gave a women an incorrect order and instead of politely hurrying out to stop the lady she ran through the dining room causing a scene. Everyone kind of looked at each other like«really? Was that necessary?». A different worker did hold the door open for me as I was leaving and wished me a good day. That was very nice!

Not impressed and super disappointed! Only ate here because I was too lazy to go Across town to eat! Menu — not happy with the portion sizes and over salted chips and lack of effort in the final product. Simply over priced and wait time is an average 20 minutes for a depressing meal. I believe this Resturant is only successful because it is located on base and people don’t know better. Costumer service actually warrants three stars. Due to being super disappointed in the half size bean and cheese burrito and the carna asada nachos; I have rated this location with two stars and do not recommend a visit.

When my wife was diagnosed with cancer, she wouldn’t eat much. So I went to Roberto’s, the food was so good that we have added it to our weekly menu. When my wife was diagnosed with cancer Roberto’s was the only thing that she would eat without getting sick. Nothing beats the taste and smell of fresh cilantro!

Food is yummy. But due to recent menu changes, unless they change it back, with prices included we won’t be going back. The thing I ordered EVERY time going there is now off the menu and if I would want to order is again would be $ 22 when I used to pay $ 7.50… it was THE meal that I often looked forward to and made me love this place and I’m am SUPER bummed that I won’t get it anymore. It’s great but not $ 22 great. They now charge extra if you wanted to change the protein of a burrito or taco or whatever you change, they charge you for the protein originally on it AND the protein you change it to. It’s a ripoff. Before it was my favorite, and first choice of fast food. So as far as the food goes, it’s good for Mexican fast food, but I’m just too upset about the new changes to go back. Unless they change it back of course. I always ordered the burrito + taco combo which is no longer on there.

Roberto’s at the base was really good. I changed the fish taco/enchillada meal with a soft vege taco with whole beans. It was YUMMY! I highly recommend this place. Good prices. Nice outdoor seating.

Good Mexican food. It is located on the Military Base, so you better have access. The tacos were good. Very filling. Outdoor seating is available for nice days. Very easy to get in and out in a hurry.

Hands down 5 stars. I can smash this food daily. Carne Asada burrito is on point. Fish tacos aren’t high quality but they’re still pretty bomb. I love this place. Cheap and get a bunch if food. Will miss this place when we leave.

We had the chicken burritos and the, beef carne asada for lunch. Both had plenty of meat inside. We didn’t need to eat do bet after having this for lunch. We say outside at the tables. The tables needed to be cleaned off. They were very dirty.

I love this place. Even if u get it at a trailer up near SOI or by the country store the food tastes great and even with the occasional extra ingredient(no guacamole for me) they will fix their mistake with no issue. My fav borrito place so far and I don’t plan to look for another.

Pretty good food. The carne asada fries are great. Meat seems like its pretty high quality. A lot cleaner than those hole in the wall spots out on Coast Hwy.

The quality of ingredients, meat, etc are way higher than those dirty Mexican shops out in town. Every time I eat a Cali burrito out in town somewhere, I always find gristle all in the meat. Never had that issues here. Their carne asada fries are great here as well, really fresh tasting ingredients. One thing though, is that they should put less pepper in their meat. I also like the fact that you can see everything the cooks are doing. Another issue is that these on base establishments need to stop hiring these spoiled dependant kids, who’s dad is probably a General or something, because these little brats need to be taken out back, and have their attitude adjusted. Stop hiring bratty kids who feel they are privileged because their daddy is in the Marine Corps. Other than that, I love this place!
