History

Established in 1996.

For over 15 years I did contract accounting work while working regular jobs. 7 of those years I spent implementing, training and supporting various accounting software. After three mergers and acquisitions I decided to work for myself full time.

I became a ProAdvisor® in 2011, certified by the makers of QuickBooks, Intuit. In 2011 I also certified in Enterprise Solutions and in 2013 was Advanced Certifed. The ProAdvisor program is offered to all… however, you don’t get to use the logo’s until you pass the exams.

The advanced exam is designed to test ones patience and skills. It covers a combination of advanced QuickBooks features, accounting knowledge, job costing, and complex reporting. The questions are real life scenarios, using live data and spreadsheets.

For over 10 years I have worked with QuickBooks. Setup is 90% of the battle. If your company, chart of accounts, items and data entry are correct… so are your financials. Learn to use QuickBooks the way it was designed!

Meet the Business Owner

Doug M.

Business Owner

I learned a long time ago I don’t like to keep books… it’s boring but a necessary evil. Lord knows why I majored in Accounting except I was good at it. After a few Accounting positions I went to work for a software company. Everyday brought new challenges. I combined my accounting background with something I enjoyed… software!

I began with a company called A&M Software. After a series of mergers and acquisitions they are now RealPage. I spent my days dealing with all the issues our clients encountered when switching from one software to another or starting from scratch. I was part of a team that dealt with the conversion of thousands of properties when AIMCO acquired Insignia in 1998. I enjoyed my work but on any given day I feared my company might be acquired. On a good day the acquiring company kept the existing employees… not just the assets they acquired. I should have invested in Rolaids! I went through this drama twice. Anyway, eventually I went into QuickBooks consulting.
