I hate doing this but I have to I am tired of already living here don’t let the looks fool you this place is ridiculous I am not gonna renew my lease I am definitely going else where the first couple months were really great I loved it my pups love the parks they have here it was really great and than we started to get noise complaints that our dogs were barking at 3 am which to me is funny because I’m home and would have woken me up also hearing continuous banging on our floor cause our downstairs neighbors get mad for my dogs walking around we can’t even have friends over with hearing banging coming from our floor we told management and of course nothing was done they made it seem that it was our fault and that we should be quiet next time also we can’t let the dogs go on the patio without us being on there with them we don’t even lock the dogs out there the door is open and they can come in and out whenever they please also beside the apartment telling me how to live in my own home they also shut off my buildings water for a couple days in a row and when they did that the water came out green and smelly so I had to let all the water run until it was clear and everyday I had to clean all of it everyday and the buildings water was turned off once in a while but they did give us noticed still inconvenient for us living here we also have people digging through our trash everyday and have homeless people walking around here I feel bad for them but we shouldn’t have this problem living here also trying really hard to avoid the Mormon missionaries is annoying because they stop you no matter what and don’t understand what no thank you means also having to let people in my house when I’m not even home also if there is anything loud happening they immediately assume it’s me and my other neighbors can vouch for me they told me we aren’t loud and that I have great dogs so I don’t know what the problem is I am honestly tired of this can’t wait to get a lease somewhere else! First couple months living here I was happy to renew a lease for another 3 years but nope I have a neighbor who gets mad if I drop a measly crumb on the floor and complains about it and I have management telling me how to live in my apartment as if they pay for my rent I also got a complaint saying that my corridor smelled like urine that it was our fault and the thing is my dogs go outside and pee in the designated bathroom areas that they have and they are accusing us as always I feel like we can’t do anything living here… I also get these complaints sent to my door instead of a phone call and threats saying if we keep doing what we do we will have to pay fines I swear this place will charge you up the ass for anything I do not recommend living here if you want to be told how to live don’t let some of these other reviews fool you cause some of them are the friends of the managers there I also think dinesha and the maintenance crew are awesome! They are super friendly! And nice

Well, I guess we will never know what it’s like to live here. But I can tell you the office organization stinks. I made an appointment on Thursday to see an apartment Friday. I told the person I was making the appointment with that I needed a Saturday appointment because I work, but she insisted I come Friday because the open unit that I could view would be occupied as of Saturday. So I took off work early, booked it over there, and the person in the office had no clue there was an appointment. The unit that I was supposed to be seeing was rented and no one bothered to call and cancel. I did however get a text an hour before my appointment CONFIRMING MY APPOINTMENT. That’s incredibly inconsiderate and the office girl wasn’t remotely apologetic or concerned about my time that was wasted. Thanks a lot.

I absolutely loved my stay here at The Presidio. We originally chose this location because the buildings are pushed back from the road and are a little bit more «private,» but at the same time is right across the street from shopping areas and down the road from all the necessities.
The Presidio is a luxury apartment complex in my eyes. Everything is clean up-​to-​date and the amenities are endless. From the pool and TWO hot tubs to the movie theater inside the office. Now this isn’t even why I loved the place, I barely used the amenities. I loved this complex because every time I had a maintenance issue or question it was answered and taken care of RIGHT away. You can submit a work order online for maintenance, but I opted to walk in and ask them about it instead. EVERY time, they sent a worker right to my apartment and took care of it. Not an hour later, not a day later right then and there! This is huge for me because I used to live in a place that took many requests and calls to come change a light bulb!
Maggie, Denisha and Nick in the office are all lovely and always greeted me with a smile. Going into the office wasn’t a hassle for me and I actually enjoyed talking to them and getting to know them. They treat military families great (I’m one myself) and know the ins and outs of move outs and orders and such. Now that it’s time for my move out they found someone to move in right after us so we wouldn’t have to pay the full month after we moved out! This is huge for a military family, because if orders come late, you have to pay the full months rent after you give them to the office. All in all, I would absolutely move back in if I could! But sadly I have to move back home!

It’s a holiday, Monday, Labor Day! Right now there are wood chippers and strange guys cutting trees with electric saws. They arrived at 8:00 am this morning. Didn’t anyone tell them it’s a holiday? Good bye peace & quiet. There is none here. The wood chippers are especially pleasant (not)…so loud that I have to close the windows. One more great experience at the Presidio Apartments, with NO NOTICE TO THE TENANTS. It’s been going on all week. Today, it’s September 23^rd and there are guys grinding the concrete. There is concrete dust everywhere. If you are unlucky enough to have asthma, this would give you an attack. Once again, NO NOTICE TO THE TENANTS… they are grinding down the walkways where Mother Nature has lifted them over time. THERE IS ZERO PEACE HERE. Wow such class. J

My husband and I were looking for an apartment to move into because our old complex management were horrible!!! Looking for an apartment for months we were loosing hope. Finally going to check out this apartment complex… We were taking over a lease. Naturally I figured the management would have lots to say. But the first time meeting them they were super sweet. Very welcoming. Maggie was the lady we conversed with first hand. And she was AWESOME. Super sweet and very helpful. Our apartment we were moving into had the carpets done by the renters. And no windows were open. And smelled like old musty dog pee. Josh the head maintenance guy was amazing! Totally agreed and helped us out right away! Fixed the problem immediately! Nick was the manager and helped get out lease in line and was a super big help with all our questions. Needless to say it’s an awesome dog friendly, Couple and family friendly place. We love it here. Air conditioning is a plus ;)

BY FAR THE WORST APARTMENTS EVER. If you don’t wanna get towed I wouldn’t recommend parking here or living here. Not only does the parking suck but the staff is BEYOND rude and unprofessional. It’s way over priced for the quality of these apartments. There small and not very nice what so ever. The neighborhood surrounding the area is also not nice. The people who live here are rude and don’t know how to mind there own business. If you wanna save your money and time I would HIGLY RECOMMEND looking somewhere else wish me and my friend would of looked else where before we signed the lease to this trash of a place.

First off I do like the place, it’s friendly and clean. I was very observant when I chose which unit to rent. I did not want kids screaming all day above or next to me and didn’t want to hear drunk marines partying all the time. I think I got lucky and chose my unit well, those where problems I saw being possible living next to a military base. (being prior service my self I knew this through experience). The place has 2 dog parks and they are a decent size, neighborhood seems good as well,
Now for my issues,
Every day there is some one digging through the trash leaving their remains all over the area around the dumpsters. And I mean EVERY DAY. I have no issue with people collecting cans. But identity theft is a big issue. And having my trash gone through by a stranger is not comforting. It’s not little old ladies digging through the trash it’s large tattooed men in dirty wife beaters smoking joints. Not kidding.
I have brought this issue up before but it’s seems as if my concerns simply fall upon deaf ears. They say security would be the ones out there stopping it, I have brought it up to maintenance as well. But they seem to afraid to engage with the men doing it, I wonder why? (because the men going threw the trash look intimidating) I don’t blame them for not wanting any conflict either.
Security is a joke, they patrol the area at the same time every night for only a short amount of time, I have never seen him, lonly his parked patrol car. My car has been vandalized and so have others. This also contributes too why the homeless have made it a routine stop of our dumpsters.
There is a no trespassing sign at the entrance of the complex but that dose not stop solicitors at all. I have Mormons and other salesmen at my door at least once a week. I have brought this up to the office but again that’s security’s job, that only comes on a routine schedule at night.
There is a parking sticker required to park in the complex. This was done to keep people who did not live here from using the amenities of the complex. Like the pool area basketball courts or soccer arena. But this has not stopped them, they simply park across the street now and walk over directly pass the front office. So the only cars getting towed are at 3am by a tow truck company that’s currently under investigation by the city of San Diego for predatory towing. Look up reviews for western towing.
All and all I do like the place and plan on staying, but I would just like something done to handle serious issues. This is a security invasion and should be handled as such. But until some one has every thing stolen from them, we wait. My important mail is now thrown away at work.

We moved into this complex last week. Everything has been great! Inside of our apartment is refurnished and modern. And it was especially the amenities that drew us to this complex. The pool area is lovely, our pup loves running with the other tenants’s dogs in the dog runs, and our kids love the air hockey table and playground. The front office staff have been gigantically helpful, especially the manager Nick. We’re really happy with our choice to lease at Presidio.

When we first moved in, I was so excited. The office staff was friendly, some «extras» including dog parks and pool. We’ve only lived here 6 months and I have already had the maintenance come in for NUMEROUS reasons and there are only a few reliable maintenance guys working here. We came home from a trip and our bathroom was flooded and yes, they did «credit us $ 150» but it was for their mistakes. They continued sending in the same guy we had been complaining about, so that was them fixing their mistake. Not to mention the rent is extremely high for a tiny one bedroom. Which when we moved in, it looked like they moved the last person out, gave the apartment a quick «clean up» and gave us the keys. There was still food on the walls and spots ALL over the carpet. We just had a plumbing problem this past weekend due to the pipes being clogged, and had feces water ALL over our bedroom and after the carpet guy left, the floor was still wet and smelled and we had a wadded up pile of carpet in our floor for two days. I understand that it was a holiday weekend, but they need to have a weekend manager available for things like this. That is a health hazard to have wet feces water carpet for two days. They didn’t offer to get us out of there for the duration of the problem, oh, but here is $ 50, go buy some new towels. What about our time? Our having to wear flip flops in our apartment because we didn’t want crap water all over our feet? What about the electricity of us having the dryer and dehumidifier on for three days straight? We pay way to much rent to be treated like that after having to deal with the smell and the clean up of their pipe issue. After filling out the survey they send out, I explained my issues and got an email back from the manager, Nick, basically saying its not their problem they did the minimum of what they legally had to do and the credit of $ 150 and $ 50 for towels should be enough. Even though the $ 150 had nothing to do with this situation. I’m just very disappointed and ready to be out of here. Keep your money and go somewhere else. Not worth the hassle and headache. I will give them this though, the maintenance supervisor, Josh is on top of stuff, I wish he was the apartment manager.

Good place to live with all the extras like washer and dryer, pool and spa, dog parks, and play area. I have been here for almost two years now and will be leaving in a few months. The only beef I have is the high water and sewage bill. It’s too high especially for a apartment. We barely use any water but it’s rounded to the amount of people in the apartment. We don’t use 160 dollars worth of water and sewage. The company that bills for it is located in Utah so they can’t help you at all except taking your money. They really need to check all apartments for running toilets and possible water problems. We have had a few issues but they were taken care of very quick by the maintenance guys.
Security here is a plus and they will respond pretty fast.

It was great living here and will be missed.
Very active staff that doesn’t ignore problems.
Parking isn’t a problem although it gets harder to find sheltered parking after 10pm which is still amazing for a large apartment complex like this. The newly built playgrounds are a nice additions for the kids of this community.
People not picking after their pets was a problem at first but with management enforcing the rules and maintenance keeping the landscape clean that problem has been getting better.
The biggest pros of living here was that problems don’t stay problems for long.
In and out is a block down the 76 along with Walmart being another block down. Ralphs, Subway, Love Boat sushi, Starbucks, Shell, and Lowes just across the street making it easy to grab things and get some exercise.
Courtesy patrol or the security guy is active and does his job.
The small gym is 24 hours and the complex area is lighted and monitored by security cams.

I lived here for a short time — 3months. Everyone in the office was always very nice and helpful. The apartments were nice, especially the AC! If I ever had a problem they dealt with it right away. The only thing I was disappointed with was how much the rent was going to go up if I stayed one more month — that was the only reason I chose not to stay.

I love it here their pet policy is awesome .it’s really hard to find a place so clean and nice with no weight limit on dogs .and the staff are so professional they take pride in serving you. With it being so close to base I haven’t heard any crazy parties going on. Definitely recommend presidio

It’s been about a year and a half since I lived at Presidio, but I feel it’s still necessary to review these guys. Although the move left me a bit salty because of crazy rent increases, I definitely enjoyed my two years there. It’s super pet friendly which is so important when your dog is your child. The grounds were always spotless, the pool and spa clean and spacious, staff was great, maintenance prompt. Loved their little dog park too.
My only beef was that the rent was originally in the low $ 1500s for a 2 BR/​2 BTH and Presidio raised it to nearly $ 1900 after water/​trash/​etc before my fiancé and I decided it was just too ridiculously high. I swore I could find a place on the beach for that price and we did. Other than the rent hike, it was a great first home for us and we look back on it with happy memories.

My husband and I moved into Presidio in November of 2013. Let me just say, we LOVE it here.
There are a few key things I want to go over.
1. The management. We started the whole process with Demisha. She is stellar! She didn’t rush us into signing a lease, she didn’t lie and she is extremely friendly. I call the office occasionally to ask questions and get information, and she remembers who I am, my husband and even what apartment we live in. She helps with everything I need and is extremely knowledgable. Maggie is also the same way. Whenever something is going to happen (i.e, painters coming by to re-​paint, eco-​friendly bee-​control, wood work, ect.) she calls at a minimum of 24-​hours to let us know what is going on, the hours, and what to expect. The office is also very clean, very welcoming, and even has coffee for you. Whenever we have an issue that needs to be fixed, we let them know and they have someone here either that day or the next to fix the problem. They never see bothered when I call with questions or requests.
2. The landscaping. The landscaping is marvelous! Green grass everywhere. Clean pathways to walk on; gorgeous trees that provide shade, basketball AND tennis courts, and BBQ pits located through-​out the complex. You will see landscapers mowing the lawn a few times a month and it’s NEVER at annoying hours (like 4AM on a Saturday morning.) Walking my dog is enjoyable because everything is so clean and refreshing. I never have to worry about my pooch eating garbage off of the street because there is none!
3. Animals. They are not strict about having pets. They are really pet friendly. They have a dog park that has obstacles and a bench for the four legged friends. The residents here pick up their pooches poop so you never really have to worry about stepping in it. There are also little green baggies placed at every mail box and around the complex for your pooches pooping convenience.
4. NO PEST PROBLEMS. No need to explain that. We have never ever had a problem with ants, rats, gnats, flies, ect like some other apartment complexes that I have heard about.
6. The pricing. Depending on the time of year you sign your lease, the rent price may vary. It also depends on how many bedrooms (obviously.) We got our 1 bed 1 bath for about 1100~ a month excluding ConService (their water/​utility company.) And if you refer a friend, after one month of them living here, you will get $ 100-​$ 200 off of your rent (depending on what amount of discount they are on.) But make sure to call them and let them know, or else they won’t give you the discount. We haven’t had our rent go up at all within the last almost 8 months of living here.
7. Entertainment. They have a huge movie room, a computer room, a semi-​nice gym, and a HUGE pool with two large jacuzzi’s. The pool and jacuzzi’s are never full and are always clean. They also have random days where they offer free breakfast in the morning and during the summer they have pool parties with awesome prizes, gift cards, food & DJ’s.
8. Parking. You don’t have to pay for parking which is lovely. Your guests won’t get in trouble for «parking in #832’s spot in stead of #831’s spot.» There’s ALWAYS parking available in the lot right next to my apartment. If not, (usually when I come home extremely late) I park in the street parking lots which are the same, if not shorter, in distance from my apartment.
9. Washer and dryers are IN the apartment. No having to deal with people who steal clothes, or who take your clothes out of the washer to put theirs in!
10. Neighbors. Most people who live here are military (Marine Corps). I haven’t had anyone who is loud, obnoxious, or anything. The only thing is, some people have dogs that they keep in the patio and they may bark when you walk past; but that’s normal for any apartment/​house. Most people are friendly and all know each other.
Overall, the workers here genuinely care. I haven’t had not one complaint about this place and I will continue to live here until my enlistment is over with. (Maybe even longer after that. :-))

Is been almost a year that I’m been living in this Comunity … And let me tell you I LoVE this place for several reasons, first all the landscaping is fantastic so much green an well taken care, 100% pet friendly with a dog park and plenty dog stations for bags, huge pool and 2 jacuzzi wow. But most of all is the management that make this place. They are proud of this Comunity and they really care of the tenant and their needs… Maggie Raymond is the best assistant Manager very approachable and professional !! Ohhh buy the way they just upgrade all the unit and paint the exterior … Come and see it is the best place to live in Oceanside.

I just moved into Presidio and I LOVE IT!
The grounds are clean and nice very quite place.
The one bedrooms are huge and perfect for two people to live in…
Price is not expensive very affordable for what you are getting.
Plenty of covered parking and it’s never an issue for me.

This place is great! The newly renovated apartments are clean and not expensive compared to others in the area. The complex is very nice and the pool and hot tubs are never crowded. The staff, especially Nick, are very nice and always willing to help. I would definitely recommend living at these apartments.

I love living here at presidio. I have lived here for 3 years and my rent has not gone up each year, it did go up the first year but I got a great deal for the amount of square footage that they provide. PARKING is amazing! The staff is very helpful! I love having all the amenities that Presidio provides for me and my family!
