I hired Oceanside plumbing to convert from oil to gas heat and abandon an underground tank. I had three estimates done. Oceanside plumbing won me over because they were the only company that showed up on time for the appointment. They gave me a good price and handled all the paperwork and scheduling with the town, national grid, permit, boiler delivery etc. I had one unforseen issue with my chimney liner, but the owner was willing to correct it and it was resolved. Make sure you get an estimate with a chimney liner, even if you believe you have an existing one… The install crew was kind and courteous the install took about 7 hours. They did an extremely clean job… tank abandonment took another afternoon to fill the hole. I am very satisfied with my new heating system. This past winter my home was warmer than before and I saved thousands of dollars compared to oil heat with Petro… Overall I would highly recommend this company for an oil to gas conversion.

Ripoff. Dave installed a new gas boiler– conversion from oil in Spring 2013. That winter one of the joints was, unbeknownst to me, dripping water. Following season in early December 2014 I had no heat in one of my zones. Owner Dave came and saw the drip and said it would cost $ 250 to fix and then said the electrician would handle the problem. Dave left after taking $ 250 for sweating ONE joint that was shoddily done by his guys a year and a few months earlier. He left and didn’t fix the damn problem. Tthe dripping water had shorted out the switch!!! He refused to acknowledge this and when asked about his word and standing behind his work, Dave the owner even had the gall to say, «God giveth, but the fine print in the warranty taketh away.» Really??? One season after spending $ 8,000??? And he left without fixing the problem. The electrician, a separate charge, is still slotted to come. And I have no guarantee that he can fix the problem. DON“T USETHISCOMPANY!!! The do shoddy work and then charge you to fix it and leave without fixing the problem. If I could have left a zero rating I would have…

If you want quality workmanship and honest, responsive service, these are your guys. We’ve used them for a dozen years for all ranges of work from faucets to boilers and water heaters. They also only use the best subcontractors when needed(mostly electricians). We have never had a problem with any of their work. An example of their professionalism: One evening — after hours — our boiler shut down and our CO2 alarm beeped. We called them, and one of the owners came over himself and cleaned our chimney vent, which was clogged and might have killed us. They are our first call when we have any plumbing issue in our house.

Called and set up an appointment for Saturday morning. They no-showed. I called that morning and they didn’t answer. A few days later I still heard nothing from them, I had to call them. The guy I spoke to blamed it on his«business partner» and didn’t take any responsibility. If you need someone to show up when they say they will, maybe this isn’t your place.
